Dr. Marianne T. Carroll is a Board Certified Osteopathic Physician specializing in Dermatology and Dermatologic surgery as well asBoard Certified in Internal Medicine. Serving Florida since 2010, Dr. Carroll practices Adult and Pediatric Dermatology offering the most common treatments for skin diseases, from acne to mole removal.
There are numerous surgical approaches and expert techniques that Dr. Carroll utilizes to prevent skin cancers from spreading to other parts of the body. During your consultation and examination, Dr. Carroll can determine the safest and most effective option for you. Dr. Carroll specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery which is a highly effective technique for the removal of skin cancer.
A skin lesion may be classified as benign, premalignant or malignant. Classifying a lesion as such is vital to your health. Dr. Carroll provides an accurate diagnosis based on the appearance of the lesion and the patient's clinical history. Based on the diagnosis, a biopsy may be required. Most common skin lesions such as moles and tags are benign.
Moles are common to most people. While most are not a medical concern, some can indicate a serious medical problem such as skin cancer. At Carroll Dermatology Surgery and Laser Institute in West Palm Beach, we evaluate moles and determine if removal or treatment is necessary. Some patients choose to have benign, non-cancerous moles removed for appearance reasons.

Dr. Carroll is caring and thorough, as well as intuitive--which I value in a doctor and professionals in general.
After looking at my butterfly pattern rash, she suggested a test for Lupus, which I balked at. But after doing my own research, I decided to take her advice. My blood test was positive--I called to apologize, and made the appointment with a rheumatologist.
My rheumatologist was also thorough, and did three more tests, concluding that although I have some Lupus symptoms and some positive test results, I do not have Lupus.

This is a great doctor and staff. Very thorough - thoughtful - always looking to deliver the best to patients. Dr. Carroll is a quality doctor and operates an excellent office. I did NOT have a good experience with this dr. She and her assistant literally started laughing at me as I described my problem to them... She wanted to prescribe me a certain medication that didn’t work for me in the past. As I started telling her that this medication made my problem worse last time I tried it, she started laughing and exchanging looks with her nurse. Made me feel very uncomfortable not to mention that’s it’s simply highly, highly unprofessional... also, she didn’t really spend time with me or listened to what I was trying to say. I have been a patient of Doctor Carroll's for almost a year with numerous problems stemming from being in the sun since childhood at the Jersey Shore. I first met Dr. Carroll when I was taking my father to his dermatology appts. and I really liked her professionalism. After seeing how she took great care of him, I started going to her myself. I've been going to Dr. Carroll for a few years now and am extremely happy with her services, care and honesty. I highly recommend her to everyone I know.
