The opening of Boulevard Seafood Company, a new and vibrant addition to Somerset County seafood restaurants, marks the first restaurant expansion of the Boulevard Restaurant Group. A good choice of seafood dishes, usually well prepared and nicely balanced with good sides. We had ordered the specials, Black sea Bass with paella and a blackened Branzino. Both were fresh and delicious.
Two reasons for taking a star off ,,, the first is that there is absolutely nothing for vegetarians. Given that there is likely to be some vegetarians when one goes in a group, this is baffling to me. Initially my wife,, who is vegetarian, was told they only had some mixed vegetables with Balsamic vinegar. After a bit of requesting, they did try to make a dish with spinach, which was good, but

Food was exceptional. Server was friendly & attentive. The only negative, is that the kitchen requires the entire order be placed at once. So, order in, appetizers & entree, no lingering. Understandable for a busy Friday night, but, also when you're taking the evening to enjoy great food and conversation, it feels a bit rushed.

A last-minute reservation turned into an evening of gustatory delight as we dined on fresh seafood perfectly prepared before our eyes. Our courses were shuttled just a few feet from the open kitchen layout to our table. I had the pleasure of ordering hard cider Battered shrimp, strewn over a bed of sriracha aioli and garnished with a spaghetti-like helping of celeriac and green apple slaw. That heaven was then followed by fresh fettucine with baby arugula, toasted garlic, roasted tomato, and a chardonnay broth topped with succulent shrimp. Very happy with our experience. Family of 3 and 1 kid. Seated promptly and all the staff was very friendly. Nice outdoor seating in the back on a patio, with curbside and limited indoor seating also available. Good social distance protocols were flowed from what I could see.
The crab and avocado starter and calamari appetizer were full of flavor and very fresh.
Lobster roll was amazing. Perfectly toasted bread which was overflowing with lobster.
Fish tacos were bursting with flavors that complimented each other perfectly. One of the best I've had.

One of the best restaurants in Somerville for sure! Everything is SUPER FRESH! Prices are reasonable too. I had the jumbo lump crab avocado cannelloni and mozzarella watermelon salad as appetizers both were excellent! Their signature appetizer is the jumbo lump crab avocado cannelloni. If it’s your first time here definitely order it! For entrees I had the seafood risotto, halibut, and the pappardelle with gulf shrimp. All 3 were amazing! Again everything is as fresh as can be! Desserts are a must order here! They are all outstanding! I had the chocolate torte and the vanilla bean cheesecake

My review is for my last visit during weekday lunch (Tuesday-Saturday). They offer plates for $14 or pick two with a dessert for $22. Choose the pick two with dessert, you won't regret it!!!
My husband and I chose the mussels and fries Provencal (wow!!!), the octopus and shrimp salad (yums!), The salmon club, and the fish tacos. The salmon club was probably the best sandwich I've ever had. Salmon was moist and soft and fresh. The club had two really big thick cut bacon strips with arugala and served with some type of mayo.
