Food is always piping hot and delicious. They always accommodate special requests and the staff is AMAZING. Everyone is friendly with each other and the customers.

Good service. Good food, every time. Try the Molcajete, filled with all the meats. Patio is always open.

Best time I've had in this town yet, guy that works at the restaurant just bough a guitar an hour before that was missing a string and played some jams for and had us laughing hysterically. Great atmosphere highly recommended

OUTSTANDINGLY SUPERB! Honestly the only place I've been able to request items that aren't necessarily on the menu and a little more 'authentic' then the cliche Mexican establishments in my entire life. From fluent Spanish speaking American and fluent English speaking Hispanic staff I was met with unbelievable service. Matthew was my server yet more of a guide to the splendid food, salsa, and specials they offered; guiding me warmly, charismatically, and most knowledgeably through my desired experience and showing me my next delicious experience. Do not be fooled by its commonplace appearance. Like so many things, it is not what is outside, but what is inside that counts. Yes, I quoted a line from Aladdin, but it's what my wife thought after we left this place very satisfied. The servers were friendly and prompt with taking our order, getting our food out and refilling our drinks. The food was great, the portions were great. The selection of food and the price was also great. Fast caring service. I had enchiladas rancheros which was delicious. Will definitely dine there again. Feels like a friendly neighborhood eatery. Lime margarita hit the spot too. Worth a visit

I love the friendly atmosphere & the food is great! I like to get the all-you-can-eat special which is 1 taco, 1 burrito, 1 enchilada, beans, & rice. They even let you customize your order so I like to get my burrito with chicken & beef for the taco & enchilada. You can also choose between red sauce or cheese sauce. Have never been disappointed!! The manager, Pony, is a great guy!

Overall I'd have to say enjoyable experience and good food. Not great, but good food. Atmosphere aswell could be better. In the area I've definitely had better but gotta love the small business and the feel from owner to mouth.

I was very excited to try this place and sadly disappointed. We went last week for an early dinner and the service was mediocre. The waiter was very friendly and nice but not at all attentive. We waited 30 minutes to pay after finishing eating and having no drink refills. I ordered a vegetarian meal that came with a cheese enchilada and a bean burrito. The bean burrito was just a tortilla with refried beans in it, no cheese or anything else which is a first for me. I order this a lot at other places and it is never just beans. Then the enchilada was a tortilla with just cheese, no red or green

Decent Mexican joint. Service is questionable at best but the have drink specials and food is fairly priced. Not the best place to eat but good for a beer and queso. Also found a plastic bag in one of our drinks and they didn't seem to care or think that was odd.

The food was good and the takeout service was fast. No menu online so it complicated things a bit.
We had tacos, enchiladas, chips and salsa. The chili had good flavor with no heat, the salsa was light on cilantro which was awesome!

We are from NM so this is a bit different than what we are use to but we will visit again when the longing for chili gets to us.

Being from south central Texas and having traveled to Mexico plenty of times (Monterrey and surrounding small towns/pueblos), I would say that I know good Mexican food. My husband & I were passing through and when the restaurant we originally wanted to go to was closed, this was our next best option. Upon arrival, we were happy to find staff speaking Spanish... we knew this had the potential to be great... and we were NOT disappointed! I had the Chile Verde which is delicious, crispy, moist pork drenched in their homemade verde sauce. I asked for corn tortillas because, well, I love the flavor

We've been looking for a go to Mexican restaurant ever since we quit our beloved Clinton Hwy joint. I'm going to step out on a limb and say I believe we have found a new home. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic and we can't wait to get back soon!

Always great food, and super cheap alcohol. Occasionally the servers seem to get too busy, causing the service to become absent at times. Other than that, it's always been an enjoyable meal.

My family goes to El Tepame often. They serve good Mexican food at a reasonable price. The menu is the typical Mexican restaurant menu for this area.

Pro Tip: they are now closed on Sunday.

Amazing value. Very friendly family run establishment. The food is as I remember from Mexico, the lady that served us from from Jalisco and was the best waitress I have experienced in quite some time. Parking is very easy, the food is top quality and the portions are easily big enough. The restaurant is brightly painted and in a good state of repair. Easily the best Mexican restaurant I have been to in TN so far. A solid five star choice. The flan, yes the humble flan, is thick and creamy and is an amazing example of restraint. We will become regulars easily.

This place is about 5 mins from my house. I go here offer for carry out (at least once a month). My food is always hot, fresh, great, & done quickly! I would highly recommend it! It's good for the whole family! & great prices!

I love this place! I always order shrimp or chicken chimichanga. Their complimentary appetizer was also good, i usually request queso dip instead of salsa.

Service is usually pretty good and the all you can eat lunch and dinner is awesome for the price! Salsa and chips are tasty as well!

What's dumber than a business not having a website? When a restaurant, like El Tepame (Clinton, TN) has a website.. and NO MENU is on the site. While else would we want to visit your website. We found other mexican restaurant websites.. with menus.. that's where we ordered from.

I ate here for the first time a month ago. Since then I have been here on a weekly basis. The food is authentic, excellent Mexican. I have a big appetite, but have never left hungry at all. To beat it all, the value is incredible! I don't see how they stay open considering the prices and quantity of the food! All you can eat tacos, burritos, and enchiladas for $5.99. ARE YOU SERIOUS? However, the first portion is so large, I can never order more.

I have purposely routed work and pleasure to be near El Tepame during the day. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Especially you Clinton

Fast service, hot food!! I wasn't crazy about the enchilada the burrito was good, my husband liked them all!!

Stopped here last night after a long day at the ball field. Yelpers recommended it so I said lets do this. It was very good & reasonably priced. It was about 9pm or so & the staff was very involved in prepping the silverware for the next day, but when asked they were very attentive. I would go back.

Amazing food at unbelievable prices!! If you've not been here, you have to try it. It's unbelievably reasonable, there were 3 of us & we ate for under $15! Service is quick & food is still incredibly fresh & tasty!! Def gives Los Cabelleros a run for their money, as a matter of fact, El Tepame is even more reasonable in price!! I'll def be back!!

Best Mexican food in Clinton hands down...had the nachos with beef, shrimp and chicken and it was great
