We take the time to measure both feet and fit your foot to the right shoe. Not only do we have a wide variety of sizes and widths, but each shoe fits differently. Today, we continue to handcraft our shoes from only the softest, highest quality leather. Just one pair of shoes may go through up to 100 different steps.
There are 14 primary operations that take place in our factories like leather selection, die-making, cutting, lasting and more. Within those operations, approximately 80 different skilled pairs of hands are carefully constructing and inspecting each shoe to make sure the SAS shoes you choose are the best made pair of footwear in your closet.

We are a family owned and independently and operated SAS store. We specialized in hard to find sizes and hard to fit feet. We are how shoe stores used to be. The story of the San Antonio Shoemakers(SAS) family begins with its founders, Terry Armstrong and Lew Hayden. The two first met in Pittsfield, Maine, but their passion for making quality footwear led them to San Antonio, Texas.

My wife has a specific foot issue that so far the podiatrist has been unable to remedy. We de used that one solution would be to have a very large toebox. Aaron spent about 45 minutes assisting us with measurements and show suggestions. She tried 3 or 4 of the SAS brand shoes with only fair results. Aaron
Then suggested a Saucony shoe and that did the trick. Aaron was extremely patient and accommodating while my wife walked laps around the store to make certain that the problem would be resolved to the best extent. The shoes are not cheap but they are the right ones. The SAS price is very competitive
