Scheduled tours are available upon request Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. We are following the CDC guidelines to keep our students, staff and parents safe. All students are greeted at the front door and hands are sanitized before entry and before snack/lunch consumption.
We limit outside visitors to appointment only. Parents may pick their child up at the front door and a designated staff member signs your child in and out. We sanitize the Academy daily and clean frequently touched spaces. Deep cleaning is conducted each Thursday. Each child must have a personal water bottle labeled with their name for water consumption.

Services
Our priority is your child's education. Our staff is comprised of experienced, caring individuals who are either currently enrolled in the Education Program at the University of South Carolina or Midlands Technical College. Our staff also includes related fields, such as nursing and/or social services.
At Lake Murray Afterschool Academy, we focus on providing your children with a well-rounded afterschool program to enrich every aspect of their development. We involve them in lessons outside of the classroom to learn a wider scope of subjects through enrichment programs on-site. Our academic based after school program is geared to educate your children and keep them focused on success while providing trustworthy child care each afternoon.
We offer a variety of additional features and resources to continue your child's education after school has finished. Our team is comprised of trained professionals who are either attending the University of South Carolina or Columbia College in the Education Program, or who are previously Certified Teachers.
Summer Camp at Lake Murray Afterschool Academy is AMAZING! We offer a wide variety of field trips for your child to enjoy EVERY DAY! We have tons of exciting on and off-site field trips planned this summer! Please contact us about the weekly summer camp tuition. Registration is only $20.00 per child to hold your child's space!

I have to drag my kids out of Lake Murray Afterschool Academy because they love it so much!! They help with homework and their development as a little person including handling emotions. The snacks are healthy and plentiful. They encourage their academic development and offer rewards for it including pizza parties. Lots of great field trips! The owner is great with communication whether it be in person, email, or text. My kids love the cheese, they say it’s the best cheese around!

I absolutely love love love LMAA!! My daughter gets upset every single day I pick her up because she wants to stay:) They have constant field trips, in house crafts and lectures, and special food or theme days. My child has a blast there. As a working parent I also really appreciate their flexibility and hours of coverage even when school is closed or released early.

My child went here and they hated it,the owner of the place yelled at them every day for walking to another group to talk to them The snacks are not healthy for you It was stale cheese it’s and cheap cheese puffs The employees do not help the students with their homework or studying for a test if a parent walked in the owner of the place what pretend the kids were doing homework, sitting quietly or playing a game when really the kids would want to ask a question and get yelled at for not being in there set they have zero academic programs for a child to learn and play if you want your child to

Wonderful afterschool care. My 4th grade AGP student is very happy here and the staff is well equipped to help her with some pretty advanced math. She has never mentioned anything about anyone overburdening her with her studies. She has never mentioned anything about being hungry when I've picked her up and she loves all of the workers. She did not enjoy early release days or student holidays when she went to her previous place, however now she is always excited to get to spend more of the day at LMAA. They go to Lake Murray Gynmastics on Fridays which is a real treat and have extra activities

No outdoor activity, no trusting for the 5th and 6th graders, basically treating all the kids like babies. Horrible snacks except for tasty Tuesday's, everyone is starving, they won't even serve the kids extra food if they are really Hungry. Homework time is too harsh, rotations are horrible because students in different grades aren't allowed to mingle, it's just plain out horrible. If you want your kid to be starving and harassed about homework, bring your child here.
