Before Royal Express came to be, the founder and owner started off as a mechanic, driver, salesman and bookkeeper. He owned and operated a Logistics Franchise in Laredo in the late 1990's. During this period he developed key relationships with Customers and Banks that paid off down the road. Royal Express was founded in 1999 and shortly after it financed its first 10 Trucks and 20 Trailers.
The first years came with many challenges and setbacks. It was thanks to a strong work ethic and swiss-army knife attitude in handling all aspects of the business that the founder carried the company across the first 5-year hurdle. In the next years, the company hired key personnel and established key relationships with customers that drove growth and doubled the fleet.
