Marchant Powder Coating is locally owned and operated by James Marchant. For over 27 years our shop has continually grown and improved to better serve our clients. You can expect prompt service and a courteous, competent staff. What is Powder Coating? Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder.
The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin."

We were in North Charleston for a Culinary Competition and in shipping equipment one of our saucepan handles broke off. We called 5 places and nobody had time to help. The folks at Marchant told us to come right in and they would help weld the handle back on. They were so friendly and helpful. Our team was relieved that the pan got fixed. Thanks so much! Great local business I suggest you do business with them.

This is the 2nd job I had Landon at Marchant do and both times the job was perfect. The prices are reasonable, they are really nice people, and they do incredible work. This will be the only place in Charleston that I will visit for all my powdercoating needs. Highly recommend Marchant to anyone needing Powdercoat work!

They are very nice people that's why the one star.
However, it took 4 and half months to get some motorcycle parts powder coated black. Parts had to be returned more than once because of scratches, cracking deep in the powder coat. some parts weren't fully painted. When I finally received all my parts back I noticed a deep scratch in one of the newly painted unmounted wheels. I brought it back to have them repair it and was told its not covered under their warranty and would not fix it. I had to pay Marks powder coating to fix it.
