Over the years he has studied and plied his craft everywhere from Hawaii to Virginia and now, he's back home in the SoCal beach communities that he loves. Great materials, great workmanship, great quality. It was a pleasure doing business with Thomas. He built a custom coat closet for us. Every detail was meticulously spec’d out, including detailed mirror work on the doors and low-voltage lighting inside. We went back and forth a few times, but once we agreed on the design, everything was done exactly right, and on time. The crew that did the installation at our house was very efficient, clean and professional. The pricing was not cheap, but still quite competitive compared to some quotes we received elsewhere. We have no hesitation in recommending

Hampton Woodwork and Design built and installed a custom bookcase wall unit, a basic linen cabinet and a pantry door/face frame for me. The bookcase looks great in my media room, the custom design has an upper triangular feature with accent lights that really gives the room a great feel. The pantry door is adjacent to our kitchen so I needed a specific look; they did an excellent job matching the existing kitchen cherry cabinets. Thomas’ work is phenomenal. We could not be happier with the walnut bookcase that he and his team built for our living room. His experience is evident in his ability to understand what you have in mind, put forth a lot of ideas and options, and ultimately design and build what, in our case, truly exceeded our expectations. Thomas is already working on the next thing for us, a fireplace mantel. And I’ll want him to redo our kitchen cabinets when we get to it.

We approached Thomas with a very unique project (cabinets squeezed into the large triangle below our stairs and piled on creating new faces and doors for some extremely old openings. Both required extreme creativity and precision. The entire team came through with flying colors. Everything looks amazing and fits perfectly into the difficult to fit spaces.
Thomas has great energy and it comes across clearly that he takes pride in his work. Great to work with a true pro!

Thomas and his team are simply awesome! They did a kitchen cabinet repair/reface on a few damaged doors and built some custom shelves to fill up a dead space above our backsplash (check out the pics, beautiful!).
From day 1, Thomas was extremely professional and just a cool guy to talk to. We chatted on the phone about my needs and then we scheduled a quick consult to get things going. Our meeting was quick and straightforward, and I walked away feeling confident that the job was going to be gorgeous.
Come the day of install, the installer Luis showed up on time and was also extremely professional

Thomas designed and created our custom fit vanity and matching framed mirror for our bathroom. It is beautiful! We wanted the stain color to coordinate with the rest of the bathroom colors and he chose a perfect color! The workmanship is amazing ... soft-close drawers and great door hinges and it feels like a beautiful piece of custom furniture! This was a small job, but the attention given to design and craftsmanship was not compromised. I received an excellent product with excellent customer service extended. I would highly recommend Hampton Woodwork and Design!

We Built two Townhouses from scratch in Redondo Beach, CA. The places were designed to be coastal contemporary/transitional (but far more contemporary on the interior). Each was planned with open concept kitchens, dining, living rooms. Hampton Woodwork and Design did ALL of the cabinetry for both units (kitchens, baths, closets, etc). They did an incredible job! We worked with Thomas Winfree from the jump on the layout and design of our cabinets for both units. One unit was being built for sale (not builder grade, custom grade), and the other for us to live in (also custom).
