Services
Bittersweet Quilt Shop and Home Decor is owned and operated by Tina Bauer, local resident for 25 years. The unique shop is located in Pinconning, Michigan. Housed inside this historic church building on Fifth Street. Lovingly restored, the structure features beautiful stain glass windows and woodwork common of the era in which it was built (1922), giving our modern quilt shop a decidedly nostalgic look and feel.
Monte is our Featherweight Service Man. He has a true love for these mighty little machines, and it shows in his work. Monte came to us during our first year of business, and immediately became a part of the Bittersweet family. He provides machine service on only two machines, Singer Featherweights (221) and Singer 301's.
Our newest retreat is located at 216 East Fifth Street, Pinconning, Michigan. Located inside a 1920's Art's & Craft style home. Modern amenities, but decorated with a unique vintage atmosphere. Our goal: warm and inviting, unique decor throughout, cost effective, fully equipped for sewing and crafting.

Quaint little shop; friendly informative staff in a quiet little town. As this shops home is a 100 year old church just popping in to enjoy the architecture and antiques(that are for sale) scattered throughout makes it worth the stop. Being next door to Pj pizza who makes a awesome pie makes it a great 2 for 1 stop.

I'm taking the beginners quilting class that is only offered every other year. Wonderful! I've never quilted before, not even a tiny project, and I'm doing challenging squares and feeling like a real quilted already.
Beautiful selection of fabrics and patterns at a fair price; I expected the higher prices that are usually charged in a small town, so this is a pleasant surprise.
Staff is pleasant and helpful, too.
