Clayton D. Davenport was started in 1929 by Clayton D. Davenport Sr. At that time, it was a one-truck operation. Mr. Davenport served in WWII and then came back and started trucking again. This time with two trucks and a hired man delivering material throught the Pioneer Valley Area. Clayton Jr. took over at the time of his father's death in 1968, and the company has grown to include crane service, excavating equipment and petroleum hauling.
Clayton D. Davenport Trucking specializes in construction, crane service and trucking. Our employees are all OSHA 10-hour trained in Construction Safety. We offer excavation and site work, bridge construction & bridge rehabiliation, commercial & residential sitework and land developement, Title 5 Septic Systems, demolition, bioengineering slope repair and river bank stabilization, crane work, and equipment & flatbed trucking.
We are always looking for reliable workers with special skillsets to match with our wide range of construction projects. Clayton D. Davenport Trucking, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator. Must have at least 5 years experience in operating heavy equipment such as backhoe, front end loader, excavator, dozer, dump truck and similar.
C. D. Davenport Crane Service has been a long standing part of the company. Our cranes offer an additional service that is complementary to the construction industry in every aspect.
