Fillings are done to remove decay and replace the affected tooth structure. It is called a filling because a new material fills the hole that decay left. We use only mercury-free bonded tooth-colored composite fillings. Caught early enough, cavities can be treated easily and painlessly. If left untreated, decay can lead to tooth pain and/or infection and the tooth would need root canal treatment or extraction.
This can be anything done to correct imperfections in the appearance of the mouth. Anyone who is unhappy with their smile can have it fixed. The upper teeth show, usually, only when smiling, while the lower teeth remain more hidden. This is reversed when talking, with the upper teeth remaining hidden while the lower teeth show.
Crowns are restorations that are cover the whole tooth when it is likely to break or is too broken down to be restored with a filling. They are most commonly done after root canal treatment or when a large filling wears out. A filling just fills the space but doesn't do anything to protect the tooth from breaking.

Had the worst, most terrifying dental malpractice Experience at this dentist office. My mother chose this dentist office because I had a - before now - irrational fear of the dentist. I got into the chair I was nervous because I had a cavity and it hurt and the doctor would not communicate when he was going to touch it, causing severe pain. He was growing frustrated by my slight squirms after twice telling me rudely to "sit still or he will not continue." What happened next shocked my mother and I so much that now, 10 years later I am still thinking about it enough to write this review. He grabbed

I returned to Main St Family Dentistry after moving back to Montpelier a few years ago, and am glad I have. Several of their dental hygienists have cleaned up my teeth, while educating me on how to improve my oral hygiene habits, and they're always super friendly. I've seen Dr Burns exclusively since returning to their practice, and have no complaints. She's really nice and thorough. Overall I'm happy with the care I've received at this practice.

Amazing. Both my wife and I are terrified of dental work, we have both had some horrible experiences over the years. We are thrilled with our several experiences here at Main Street. We would highly recommend them for anyone. Take it from someone who took 2 years to pick a dental office, this is one of the best out there.
