We have been proudly serving the Kauai community since 2000. Our bakers arrive in the early morning hours to prepare delicious goodies for our customers. Mornings can be hectic and we sell out faster than we can keep up! More than a local bakery, we are a gathering place in the mornings, where everybody seems to know each other.
If you need to bring home omiyage, feed a large office, or just plain need a big variety of pastries, please call ahead. We also offer breakfast and lunch at the best prices on the island, with the best service. We take pride in all of our products and invite you to visit us.

This is a great little bakery to stop and grab a snack
The rolls are great, and priced at the $3.10 mark (2022 prices)
There is a small bench outside to sit and enjoy them before heading off on your days adventure
PSA, if you want a spicy crab roll get there before 9am, they were sold out when we arrived

Such a yummy breakfast before our day's adventure. Favorite thing we tried was the crab roll. It was buttery and delicious, wish we had bought more. The Portuguese sausage roll was a savory treat - reminiscent of Iberian peninsula sausage, rich and not overly salty. Their musubi with fried chicken was an unexpectedly delicious surprise. Even the malasada was tasty! Highly recommend - especially if you need some portable snacks that travel well.

Tiny little bakery with some delicious options
Crab roll: 4.5 stars, the bites that we had with the crab and butter were delicious. Just wish there was a little bit more crab.
Portuguese sausage roll: 4 stars, loved that it was chock full of sausage, but having eaten it right after the crab roll, it took a backseat to that
Roasted pork roll: 4.5 stars, also chock full of roast pork, was super tasty and filling.
Coming back as soon as I can! Especially for the crab and rost pork rolls

One of our favorites for a quick and delicious breakfast. Kimchi fried rice omelettes are really good- I like to upgrade my omelette by adding a couple slices of spam! The baked goods are also quite tasty- apple and cherry turnovers were on point! Another plus is everything is very reasonably priced... One thing to be aware of is other than a small bench located outside there is no seating or anywhere to enjoy your meal.

I am giving the 5 stars for quality, service, convenience and value. Small operation run by husband and wife who value customers and quality of life.
Great pastry selection and extremely awesome customer service. Get there early since their popular pastries run out quickly!! They also have an all day breakfast that makes an ono lunch, too.
Reminds me of our old mom and pop operations from the 60's where you were friends, not just customers!!

Good but not great. I was excited to come here, based on the other reviews, but I thought that the food was just okay. We tried their portuguese sausage rolls and breakfast burritos. The meat on the sausage roll and burrito was sparse and uneven--neither really stood out to me. The burritos were cooked to order, but were otherwise a bit small and not particularly exciting. While I appreciate what this place is going for, I can't see myself coming back anytime soon.

I first came to Kauai 15 years ago, I stopped in Hanalima Bakery and bought something called Flying Saucers. I have tried a lot of other bakeries over the years on Kauai but in my opinion Hanalima makes the best Flying Saucers by far. We come to Kauai every 2-3 years and I never miss stopping at Hanalima :-) We also enjoy many of the other items, like Crab, Portuguese Sausage, Pizza, Ham & Cheese & Pork rolls. Their desserts are excellent as well. Always good friendly service and everything I have tried is quality made with pride and Aloha :-)

Crab roll and blueberry cream cheese roll. We passed the bakery one day and searched online to find the hours for our next morning outing. We arrived to find an incredible bakery.
I was surprised at how cozy the storefront was and that so many had posted online about the Loco Moco. We decided to feast on the rolls. The crab roll was delicious and bursting with crab flavor. My half took most of the flaky, crab meat (Sorry wife). It was very strong but tasted fresh and well seasoned.
The blueberry cream cheese roll was dangerous. While eating this we saw a mom and 3 small kids looking for seating

This is a great place to grab something quick! They have an assortment of delicious rolls (crab roll, spam roll, ham and cheese roll, and more), as well as sweeter items with fruit or scones and turnovers. If you're looking for something hot, they also do more traditional breakfasts. I usually get the Loco Moco or chicken cutlet. Everything is fresh and the owners friendly. Locals go here a lot, but because of great ease and access to the highway, it's a perfect stop traveling in either direction. Only open for breakfast and lunch. If you're looking for a specific roll, better get there early because

Hanalima is an unassuming local bakery that closes at 1PM and sells out of most of its baked deliciousness well before that time. The locals know to get here early in the morning. I've learned to call ahead, and ask them to save a couple of their spicy crab rolls for me.
This is the only bakery that sells the Kauai flying saucer (bread filled with sloppy joe) all year round. Get the spicy crab rolls and flying saucer warmed up.
Another tasty tidbit is the "bango" (banana and mango) bread, which goes well with a cup of coffee.
The bakery is closed on weekends and holidays, so

TIP: Go early and get the best pastries on island before they sell out! Also, add a breakfast plate to those pastries and fill your stomach up!
I love Hanalima Bakery! The owners are such sweet people. I never have to wait long for my food to be made and their pastries make my mouth drool through the glass case. The prices are incredibly reasonable too. This was my go-to spot (especially since I was a KCC student).
Best place to get some pastries for friends, family, and staff too!

Do not waste your money! Yes the prices are reasonable, but I wish I had stopped at McDonalds instead. I had the ham and cheese roll and apple roll. My mom got the spicy crab roll. All were 99% bread, hardly any meat or cheese. The dough was not good enough to eat by itself and dry. Got a water from their fridge and it was hot. The worker seemed annoyed when I asked questions about the food, but their meats and veggies were not listed on the menu. Also beware, there are no tables inside the store.

Located near the airport. We landed early in the morning and was starving. So we went to grab something small before driving to our destination. This bakery popped up on yelp and opened early in the morning.
We walked in and there wasn't too much pastry left. The cashier looked impatient since we were taking too long to think what to get. But hey it was first time here so gotta make sure we get the right type of pastry to try. We got the crab roll and the blueberry roll. Crab roll was bits and pieces of crab in the bread. Not much flavoring. The blueberry roll was like a cinnamon bun with
