Tony Sherman saw an opportunity after 9/11 and entered the hotel business in 2003 with the acquisition of a Ramada Limited in Tucson, Arizona. After the management company he hired had failed to even create a brochure or place print ads (this was before the Internet was so important) he had no choice but to fire them after 3 months and take over himself.
