We are committed to our community to provide convenient and the finest services for your CRV Recycling. We recycle all California Redemption Value (CRV), and cardboard. We are known as one of the oldest recycling centers in San Diego, we recycle over 50,000 tons per year doing our part to be good stewards of the environment.
Consumers pay California Redemption Value (CRV) when they purchase beverages from a retailer, and receive CRV refunds when they redeem the containers at a recycling center. Most beverages packaged in aluminum, glass, plastic and bi-metal containers are eligible for CRV. Notable exceptions are milk, wine and distilled spirits, which are not included in the CRV program.

Tuesday am loaded up my truck and when I got there I had to wait in line. It was well worth the wait. I like how the guys take charge and help you out. I live in Normal heights and this seems to be the "only place" that is Honest and NO Scamming going on ! I had a coupon and got more $$. Yes this place is far from me and I had to wait in line but you decide. If your looking for the Best and most Honest place to go look no further then Mike's ! Well organized and very helpful. Terrible!! Waited an hour to recycle!! It was for my boys otherwise I would have left. Incompetence at its best. The staff is not helpful and rude. I guess they think they are the only recycling place in town. Their "system" is unorganized, which I believe is by design, because it causes customers to lose track of their recyclables. The guy who appears to be in charge, says " my guys know what they are doing". Our recyclables sat in the same spot while people who were behind me had their recyclables processed first, so ,No, your guys don't know what they are doing!

Haven't done a review in quite a while (sorry to all my millions of fans) but this place really got me riled up. Had quite a bit of cans and bottles a few weeks ago, so I sat in line for an hour before we finally got in. Opened the back of my vehicle and the guy seen that not every piece of my recycling was separated. We had about 95% of it separated and I told him my son and I could separate the rest in a couple minutes. He told me we had to leave and do it off premises. Then we had to wait for vehicles blocking our way for 10 minutes while they were getting their cash. We could have sorted

I went to this place for the first time & thought their system was good! First of all, you just need to get there right when they open & be prepared to wait a little while. I was out of there less than an hour. Bring a book to read or play a game on your phone & also maybe a snack if you're gonna get irritable. It's not that bad. Just be patient.

If you like to wait for eternity just to recycle, then come here. They are very disorganized and none of their employees are helpful. There's only one exit out. Basically have to bust a U-turn just to head toward the exit. Eventually I was able to recycle, but was hit with a 3 day hold to be able to get my money. 3 day wait just for $20!? I wish there was a option to give this place 0 stars.

Tried this place out when it was recommended by family. My mom needed to get rid of her pile of cans and plastics. We took her bags of recyclables here. Theres a line to pull up to, which the workers do address each person waiting rather than going one by one. Apparently you do need to separate your recyclables by type (aluminum vs plastics) before coming here. A worker told my mom this but since she was a first timer they took her stuff as is. For about 7-8 trash bags worth she got about $30.

Probably the best recycling center I have ever been to. Decided to come her after the recycling center in Bonita had closed down. At first glance, it can seem a bit confusing due to the line of cars and lack of signs for direction. However, the service was quick and I was out within 20 minutes. You enter turn into recycling center off of main street, and get in the line of cars. Then, you'll be helped by one of the workers who will then proceed to take your recycling out of your vehicle. Then, you turn your vehicle around and wait to be given a ticket which you will use to claim your cash

This place is amazing, amazing, amazing! This is a weird thing to say about a recycle center but you have to go to understand. The employees are super friendly. I have never been to a recycle center that was so entertaining. I don't want to spoil it you have to visit to understand. At one point I was clapping. You can tell everyone enjoys the job. One man was redeeming his bag of "recycling" and when it was dumped in the sorting bin it was half trash! Great service! Just pull in, then make sure you turn your car around so it's facing toward the street. A worker will come to help unload and sort your recyclables for you. They're also pretty quick, which is great!
Another guy will weigh the recyclables and write down the weights on a piece of paper. You then take that piece of paper to the little shack/office to get your money. Overall, I was in-and-out within about 10 minutes. Will return!

This location the service we used to be really good. They would sort your recyclables no problem they were sure that all your stuff stay together, today my stuff is all over the place I don’t even know if I got my full amount of money they no longer sort and they’re kind of rude but what do you expect from a recycling place I’m happy I turned in my six month of recycling but now I’m done they ruin the experience everything is going in the trash
