Services
The Becker Funeral Homes were founded in 1896 when Dan Davidson and Jesse Cunningham, opened the Cunningham-Davidson Funeral Home in Lowellville, Ohio. The business was operated from a storefront on Water Street, which was not unusual in those days as embalming and visitations were in the home of the deceased, with the funeral usually conducted in church.
At Becker Funeral Homes we recognize that not everyone prefers the traditional funeral service. With that in mind, we offer every type of disposition. We also have dining facilities because we know how important it is for family to gather after the funeral. A funeral service is a celebration of your life, a commemoration of what is uniquely you.
Our staff is the backbone to our success. We are committed to a high standard of professional qualifications, integrity, and personality. Whether it is our licensed funeral directors, office personnel, maintenance staff, grief counselors, or our part-time funeral associates, each and every person that works at Becker Funeral Homes takes pride in what they do and they genuinely care about our mission and the families we serve.
When visiting our Struthers, Lowellville, Poland, or Boardman funeral homes you will notice that all four locations are well appointed. The Struthers, Lowellville and Poland locations have been renovated, additions added, and parking lots expanded. With Boardman, were located approximately 2 miles south of its original location on Market Street and built from the ground up.
This means creating a dedicated place for family and friends to connect and remember your loved one. In our modern society, people aren't given enough time to grieve their losses. The pressures of work, even the simple emotional need to 'be busy, ' often bring the bereaved back into the 'real' world far too soon.

My aunt passed in January 2021. I was at Tod Cemetery over the summer and noticed that her stone hadn't yet been engraved. I contacted the funeral home and left a message. Chris was her funeral director. He contacted me the next day and said he would look into it. He said there were delays on engraving because of Covid, and he put in the order. I was back at the cemetery and it was indeed done. I would say that if all the funeral directors are as conscientious as Chris, give them your business.

My family has had an awful experience because of the lack of attention to details and assuming information for the death certificate. The funeral director put the wrong marital status and now it has to go to the courts to correct, blamed me (deceased’s daughter) for the error and did not even add me to the death certificate. They are careless with the paperwork and I would not recommend this place.
