The people there are very friendly and super helpful. A much better shopping experience then the big box stores. They have everything you need. I have never gone there without finding what I needed. The only reason I am not giving five stars is the girl at the cash register. She is new and very rude. She was short with her answers and just had a disgusted look on her face and acted put out because she could not work the register right. Perhaps some customer service training for her may help.

John at Garrett Ace Hardware was able to do the impossible! I've been carrying around an old paint sample from a different brand of paint that wasn't in the computer system. Five minutes later, he was able to match it and gave me additional stickers with the info on it should I need more. I was very impressed with his customer service!

Went there today to fill a 5 gal propane tank or exchange one.
they wanted $52.00!!!!!!! home depot charged me $28.00.
do not buy from this store! all true value/ace stores are the same. yes staff are nice but price gouging/ripping people off is not. especially not when so many are struggling.

In the pandemic shelter in place, you need to cook. So we decided to buy a Weber gas grill. The husband unit called around to see who had the best deal and more importantly who would put the thing together so he didn't have to. Not only did Garrett Ace Hardware have the best price but they assembled and delivered it to the driveway. How long did it take? How about one day? We've done business with Garrett before and we appreciate how courteous and extremely helpful they always are. Even on the phone! This is a local business so let's do the right thing and give them all the business

This is my first time I've written a review for a business. The customer service is so outstanding at Ace Hardware, I felt if I didn't potential customers would not truly understand what a great team they have there. I especially want to commend John in plumbing, he is one of the many reasons I give 5 stars to this business. He always goes above and beyond to not only help me, but all customers that I've seen while in the store. John is not only very knowledgeable but friendly as well , and treats you like family. The staff here in this store are second to none. Recently bought a Weber BBQ grill & after bringing it home found it had some shipping damage. The staff on duty took care of the issue immediately without any hesitation. Bobbi (sp?) & her crew couldn't have been more professional & helpful. Will continue to do all my hardware purchases needs at this location.

I was absolutely thrilled with the quality of work, pricing and quick turn around for re-screening all my screens. Nick took my initial call at Ace in Windsor and coordinated with Tom and before I knew was it everything was completed perfectly in less than two days.
In the past I've purchased my fire pit, fountain, plants and many other item from Ace. Sure beats going to Home Depot which I avoid like the plague.

Thank you Garret's in Windsor. You are all always so helpful. I called this morning and "D" was so kind to grab a pair of rain boots for my child and leave them on the register. She made it so easy to run in, pay and take my kids to school. Not to mention she brought me many different styles to choose from. Glad this place is local, friendly and knowledgeable.

Garrett Ace Hardware is simply a great old fashioned hardware store. Need specialized screws, bolts, just about anything you can think of. Besides having EVERYTHING (are you listening Home Depot, Lowes) the customer service can't be beat. Someone is with you until you find exactly what you are looking for.
Some people say the prices are lower at Home Depot, maybe on some items they are but on others Garrett Ace is as low or lower. Remember they have the Nationwide Ace company behind them for good pricing. Plus what good are low prices if they don't have what you want or you settle for

I am always so impressed and pleased when I go here! I am greeted immediately and always asked what can we do for you. Someone is called to assist, and if they can't, they get someone else who is more familiar with what I need! If I'm just looking at something in a aisle I am always asked if I have any questions, which I always do :-) Garretts offers small town feel service, with so many knowledgeable, willing, and appreciative people working there! From the garage door opener battery, to something more complicated, or even a plant or a bag of dirt, I always leave feeling satisfied!

I just discovered Garrett Hardware a couple weeks ago and have already made a return trip. The have a great outdoor plant nursery whereI was delighted to find Violets in 6pack containers ready for planting @ only 3.99! Perfect for my shady garden! I also spied some awesome quality bushes and trees I hope to come back for. They also happen to be a fully stocked hardware store and have a large pet product department. Other sweet features include 3 kitty mascots Sherman, Leo & Lucy and a menagerie of small birds for sale and a chicken coop with some house chickens & roosters.

Really great store for home projects, tinkerers and hobbyists. This place has something for nearly every project. The customer service is always great. Reminds me of my small town hardware store but with a much larger stock.

I wrote a review in 2011 and I want to write another outstanding review for Garrett's Ace Hardware, in Windsor. I do my best to shop local when ever I can. Jim, in the Garden department, is awesome. He gives excellent customer service, knows his products and will go out of his way to help customers.
This week I bought in our garden hose that was damages. And instead of trying to see me another one he offered to repair it.
And that is why I continue to go back again and again. You should too. The Windsor store is a ***** 5 star store. Thanks Jim.
