I believe that family photos, whether your baby is a bun-in-the-oven, only a handful of days old, toddling through the park, crushing the monkey bars on the school playground or getting ready to head off to college, should capture a moment in time.

Of course, I'm happy to capture what I call "the grandma shot" with everyone still, looking and smiling, but what moves me more is the way your son smiles when he's enveloped in your arms, how your daughter giggles when you catch her by surprise with the silliest tickle hug, and the warm glow of love when new parents wrap their new baby in a snug embrace.Which is why, when you work with me, our session will be nothing if not FUN.

This is such a magical time for you.

Whether it's your first baby or you expect it will be your last, whether you got pregnant the first month you were trying or got pregnant after many months and much intervention, whether you are carrying this child nervously after a loss or you are nervous because this baby came sooner than planned, and whether you feel like a glowing goddess or achy and ill, pregnancy is something beautiful to document and celebrate.

Children grow and change so quickly. In the early years, it's that "blink and you miss it" kind of change. Capturing family portraits is such a special way to not only document your children's growth, but the relationships between all of the members of your family. Your portrait session will capture what makes your family YOU in this moment.

There is just nothing like the newborn stage. As a mom of three little ones myself, I know all too well how those first weeks fly by in a true blur. In the midst of of sleep deprivation, hormonal highs and lows and so much change, pausing to document your brand new little one while they're still tiny is absolutely crucial.

Don't you wish you could freeze time? One moment, you're gazing at your baby wearing a blue and pink hospital cap and the next, you're watching as they toddle off on two feet, marching into toddlerhood before we've even caught our breath and soaked it all in.
