If your insurance company wants you to use one of "their" shops, then that shop is giving your insurance company a discount of some kind. Ex: labor rates, parts, towing, etc. That means your car repair will be discounted too. Your insurance company will tell you that they cannot guarantee your repairs unless you use their appointed shop.

Had car towed to APT after an unfortunate incident, but my father and I had a great experience with the owner(Tim)of the company and had no issues retrieving the car at all. Had a great discussion with the gentlemen in regards to the collection of beautiful vehicles he has inside the building as well, take a look inside if you get the chance.

Auto paint techniques is a firm that I'm very familiar with over the years recently they work on my car and good a fantastic job they did some body work and some paint and it looks absolutely beautiful. They have a facility where they can work on cars paint cars sell cars . He cares about his customers and does a great job

The drivers side back end of my Honda Civic was crushed and partially destroyed in a rear end accident in Aurora. I was weary about leaving my car so far away from where I live but I am so happy I did. These guys were absolutely awesome and quick. My car looks like nothing ever happened. Mary in the office was super helpful and sweet. Tim seemed to genuinely care about my car and any concerns I had. He’s a down to earth dude with a no bulls*** attitude and I really appreciated that. I will definitely be coming back to these guys with any auto body needs I have in the future!

This is a review of the towing portion of their business. Im sure they do great work with paint, i just can't speak to it.
If you can't tow a car after a wreck in aurora, the police can call a lot such as this one to remove the vehicle. Aurora should seriously consider removing them from their list of providers as the owner is willing to lie to basically scare people into paying his outlandish fees.
I was unable to afford to pay the tow, so i did the standard thing. Tried to sign the title over to them so they can scrap it and recoup their losses. The owner informed me i would still be liable

I had a crash recently and Auto paint techniques was the towing company. The tow truck driver came and decided to drive the vehicle on to his tow truck without checking whether it could be driveable.
After it got towed back to the body shop, the passenger side wheel was bent and the body shop was surprised that the tow truck driver did not chain in and tow it and just drove it.
They really need to make sure that the vehicle is driveable before deciding to drive it on to the tow truck to save time!
