I am going to find out all about you. It is only right that you should know about me too. I am from Kentucky. I was born in Owensboro, in 1950. I grew up on the farm. My father was a professional magician, then a salesman, then a small businessman, and gentleman farmer. My mother was a registered nurse.

Dr. Cox's is scaling down his private practice to about half time, partly due to a heart condition. Although e is taking a few new patients for whom he has special skills for their condition, he is dismissing other patients for various reasons: Those who simply need continued prescriptions. Those who call too frequently or for no need, especially outside of office hours.

Dr. Cox is just flat out one of the finest human beings I have ever met. We have developed a relationship over the past couple of years. When I first went there I was about as hopeless as a person could feel. Dr. Cox really got me refocused on my life and he seemed to think I was intelligent and capable which coming from a third party meant a lot to me! He is easy to talk to and very very intelligent, he has a calming effect on me like talking to someone that has the wisdom that he does has on a person. I have never had such a good relationship with any medical professional and I honestly feel

For what it is worth, this review is from the perspective of a new counseling professional (therapist). To say I am fiercely passionate about the mental health field and services I personally provide to others would be an understatement. Therefore, one could imagine the high expectations I set for my own mental health care.
I sought treatment from Dr. Cox under personal terms after feeling as if I had plateaued on my current depression/anxiety medication. He is truly all the good things and more that others have to say about him; someone I admire greatly as a mental health professional myself

I have been a patient of Dr. Cox for multiple years. He deserves way more than five stars!
Dr Cox is an absolutely amazing human and psychiatrist. He is someone who has completely changed my life. He is caring, kind and compassionate. He makes you feel like you are human and normal beyond the psychological conditions you may be suffering from. He is knowledgeable within his profession, in a way that is rare with deep understanding and respect for psychological conditions and treatments. He is passionate about his field and he never stops seeking knowledge. I am a nurse who suffers from anxiety

I've been struggling with severe anxiety, panic attacks and extreme hypochondria most my life. I began seeing Doctor Cox a little over three years ago now and he's been more help than I could have imagined. He's very kind and always takes the time to listen to what you have to say. I saw many psychiatrists in the past and they made me feel hopeless and I even refused to seek further treatment for a long time due to the experiences I had with them. A family member suggested I go see Dr. Cox and I'm glad I did. I do still struggle with these issues, but the help I've received from Dr. Cox has been

I have been seeing Dr. Cox for several years. From the moment I walked into the door, I felt at home. Dr. Cox and his receptionist Angela are the kindest, most caring people I’ve ever met. Dr Cox has been great from day one. He genuinely cares about his patients and goes above and beyond for them. I love him!! Would highly recommend.

My experience with Dr Cox has been wonderful. I was a bit nervous for my first appointment because a lot of doctors in my experience make me feel like I don't know anything about myself and want to rush me out the door. Dr Cox made me feel comfortable as soon as I was in his office. He listens and talks to you like a friend. He is very patient with you and it feels good to just talk with him. I highly reccomend him. Thank you Dr. Cox!

So glad I went!!! Before I began seeing Dr. Cox I had been to a number of other healthcare providers. For almost three years I was searching for a doctor that would listen to my symptoms. I have always struggled with procrastination and, recently, it began to impact my personal and professional life. This caused me to have a lot of anxiety and stress. I fell so far behind in my work that I didn’t even want to get out of bed or even make eye-contact with my peers or co-workers. Gradually, I was so ashamed and scared of social interaction that I would avoid all of my responsibilities. I sought

- This review is mostly meant for fellow veterans. Even if Dr. Cox isn't the right fit for you or geographically out of your way, I wanted to share that after ten-plus years of being told I needed specific treatments and not being able to proceed, there are medical professionals with vast knowledge, who will take the time to listen to you and carry out the necessary evaluations, and who will help find the right treatment plan. It's still not easy, but my ability to contribute to friends, family, and at work has improved on a level I didn

I've been seeing Dr. Cox for over a year now. I have suffered from a panic disorder for over 10 years and had always seen general practitioners who would just keep slapping on antidepressant after antidepressant to try to find one to that would work. Dr. Cox is a master at identifying underlying issues and utilizing a combination of medication and therapy to eliminate panic disorder completely. I'm happy to say I haven't had a panic attack since I have been seeing him as a patient. I earned a 6 figure income before my anxiety caused me to seek easy employment to relieve the pressure and now Dr

First, I was very, very, very nervous about seeing a psychiatrist for the first time. Dr. Cox is a very personable, patient man. The tone of his voice alone helped put me at ease.
I not only cried during our appointment, but I laughed as well. He is certainly NOT the stereotypical psychiatrist. He is very, very profession, but he is also a normal person. He has the perfect combination of both qualities!
I should have seen a psychiatrist years ago, but put it off due to my anxiousness of going to that first appointment. Now, I do not know why I waited. I needed this appointment. I am so glad I
