Services
Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, Janvier Law Firm, PLLC, focuses on helping people and businesses survive financial difficulty. Since graduating with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1992, Bill has helped individuals and businesses file successful bankruptcy cases throughout North Carolina.
Sometimes situations beyond your control can profoundly impact your earning potential and lead to overwhelming debt. If you find yourself unable to pay your bills, you may want to consider filing for bankruptcy. Designed to give debtors a fresh start, Chapter 7 bankruptcy gives you and your spouse relief from debts.
If your corporation, partnership, or sole proprietorship is struggling with substantial debt, you may be considering bankruptcy as a way to keep your business viable while you develop fresh strategies for future growth. Often referred to as "reorganization bankruptcy, " Chapter 11 permits your business to continue operating while you pay creditors some or all of what they are owed under a court-ordered payment plan.
One major misconception is that in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, you are required to pay off all your debts in installments over a period of three to five years under a court-approved repayment plan. The payment plan is approved by the court and does last for three to five years. However, the amount of the payment will vary depending upon your assets and your income.
People generally do not file bankruptcy because they are irresponsible spenders. Usually, a significant event occurs that overwhelms people with debt. These incidents are often serious medical scares that can quickly lead to incurring large amounts of credit card and medical debt that can feel insurmountable.

I recommend The Brewer Law Firm very highly! Their whole staff was great! Mr. Brewer and Mr. Braziel were a fantastic team together for me in my Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Billy Brewer is a tough, honest, no-nonsense, competent and knowledgeable attorney who will tell you like it is and fight for you like a bull dog because he really cares about his clients. Billy Braziel is a perfect complement to him in his client communications and answering questions. I was scared and depressed before my first consultation with Mr. Brewer and couldn't sleep. I will never forget the gratitude I felt afterward
