Here I am in extreme pain and may or may not have a perforated colon. All other insurance companies have no problem approving a CT scan but NOT community care. They just expect people to wait 5 days for approval from them!?!? If I had my choice I would NEVER use community care ever again. Absolutely stupid.

Being disabled from serving for 9/11 as a first responder, I have had a few different insurance providers.
I have to say by the very furthest "Community Care of Oklahoma" is the WORST. The refuse to cover medication they stated were covered before I was signed up with them.
Their (Anti) customer service is the WORST, you are on hold for sometimes hours, then they hang up on you when you tell them you are going to file a complaint with the State Insurance Commissioner or they tell you "So?".
The online portal is WORTHLESS you can never get logged in to it.

I don't understand all the negative reviews for Community Care. I had Community Care HMO for years while I was working and now I have Community Care Senior since I've become disabled and I've only had good experiences with this insurance. I only pay $35 a month and I've not had them turn down any claims. The value is incredible. I am so thankful to God for guiding me to Community Care Senior.

The most vile insurance company in the United States. They don’t care about doctor’s recommendations. They don’t care about therapy’s recommendations. They would rather their clients go home, fall, & permanently injure themselves than pay for a short stay in inpatient rehab. Oklahomans deserve better. Our elderly deserve better. Do better.

Completely incompetent organization. Unable to effectively and correctly process claims. They deny claims that have authorizations on file because of their inability and unwillingness to research a claim. CSR reps give bad information that is inaccurate. It should
be illegal for a hospital system to joint own a for profit insurance company that then tries to force participants into that network only when the insurance company cannot correctly do anything.

If you are a person seeking any coverage for mental/behavioral health, I strongly advise you to choose any insurance company other than ccare.
I am a behavioral health provider, and my experience with ccare has taught me that this insurance company does anything but care. I provided Services to ccare clients for two years as a provider working for my friends. I took a leap of faith and followed God’s plan for me to open up my own practice and I was accepted by every company I applied with except ccare. Despite the fact that I was working with several ccare clients, ccare reported to me that

My mother called today to change her plan she has had community care for a few years now and was satisfied. She spoke with a rep by the name of Debbie and I don't know if she was having a bad day or what. She laughed when my mom was trying to advised me what the plan covers and said it's not a hard decision to make. Excuse me but you study and deal with these plans everyday. We have had 6 family members die from covid and insurance is more important than anything in times like these. I sure hope Debbie does not talk to all her customers this way or try to rush them to make a decision on what plan

I have attempted to use the "24-hour nurse line" that's on the back of my card 3 times now. The first time they couldn't even find me in the system and called me a liar and said I wasn't a customer... while I had the card in my hand. They told me to call customer service to fix it "if indeed you're a customer", but of course it was a Friday night so they wouldn't open for days and I urgently needed help. The next time I called, they again couldn't find me in the system but "would make an exception just this once", and ultimately the nurse decided they couldn't help me with my issue. Then, today

Update: After sending an email outlining everything and stating my next steps. I quickly received an email from a supervisor stating another supervisor would be contacting me shortly. I dealt with a supervisor named Shannon who was very professional and stayed in regular contact with me. She worked with all parties to resolve the issue. It should have never came to this, but thanks to Shannon I would change my rating from a 1 to a 3.
We had no problems with Community Care until we terminated our coverage. They are now trying to collect around $200 from us because they messed up and paid our pharmacy

Community Care is the worst insurance I've ever had. I went in to my doctor's office for a Well Woman visit, which shouldn't have had a co-pay, but I received a bill from the doctor's office saying I owed a $55 co-pay. When I asked the office the next time I was in, I was told that CC had assessed a $55 co-pay, and that they should not have. When I called CC, I was told that it was because I spoke to my doctor about having pelvic pain. During my Well Woman exam. Because that isn't at all part of the ROUTINE QUESTIONNAIRE PROVIDED AT THE BEGINNING OF EVERY VISIT OR ANYTHING.
Naturally, I questioned
