I wouldn't recommend. From different people and from personal experience with them. Some people are definitely worse off when they leave. Just look around if you go to where they treat mental health patients some are walking around like zombies others look like they are still looking for someone to help them.

My relative was referred to this group from UAB Psychiatric following a mental breakdown after the suicide of her husband. After working with the social worker at UAB, I tried to get into contact with ANYONE at JBS and could not. Called multiple times and emailed and never got a response. I have power of attorney for her and legally can have access to her medical and financial information, and have been trying to help her get back on her feet.
For the first month, my relative didn't know who her case manager was or what her treatment plan was. My relative did not receive any individual therapy

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this agency. I suppose it's due to the fact that they do work with a lot of children and families that were referred because of involvement with the law, DHR, or because they are indigent and in need of mental health services. We have been working with project FIND and children's services It has been amazing. My son has turned back into the gentleman he was before adolescence set in. I cannot sing the therapists praises enough.

Warning: if you are suicidal or having problems DO NOT CALL THEM. The woman who answered the phone today will make you want to die more. Rudest phone call I have ever been on in my life. I'm trying to save someone's life and they were of zero help. Look elsewhere.
