We have been taking care of residents in the Florence/Mapleton area since 1952 when our current Doctor's Grandfather started Hunt Family Dentistry. Our goal is to provide the best quality dental care while keeping our patients comfortable and pain-free. About Us Report

Daren Hunt, DMD is the son of Thomas J. Hunt DMD and the Grandson of Thomas M. Hunt DMD. He was born and raised in Florence, OR. He achieved his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon in 2010 and Graduated from OHSU School of Dentistry in 2014. After Graduation his passion for dentistry has led him to complete over 300 hours of continuing education classes last year.

Flu season is back so of course I got sick. Finding a health center that doesn't charge an obscene amount of money to be seen is always a struggle. It was the closest, same-day appointment center I found on Yelp. They take several types of insurance, including mine which only charged a $10 copay. They even have their own app where you fill out your symptoms and payment information right there.

Technology Report

Take a look at the technologies that we use were at Hunt Family Dentistry to ensure your visit is comfortable while producing the best results! Cerec Primescan Intra Oral Scanner allows us to take a video of your tooth and design your new custom crown on an all digital platform. We are then able to mill the crown right in our office.

Implants Report

Implants replace the root structure of missing teeth. They are used in a variety of ways to restore your mouth back to health and function. The most common type of implant replaces a single missing tooth. This involves placing the Implant into the area where a tooth was lost. After a 4-6 month healing period a crown is attached to the implant.

My husband and I just moved to Florence and we were extremely sad to say goodbye to our dentist we have had for the last 10 years. However that sadness quickly turned to joy when we walked through the doors of Hunt Family Dentistry. From the first greeting to the last goodbye the staff and Dr. Hunt were wonderful. We felt comfortable and well taken care of in the hands of this exemplary practice. I would highly recommend this dental clinic to anyone looking for an office and a DMD who truly care about their patients.

Dr. Hunt and his staff are all very professional, caring, and do an excellent job. I had to get a tooth pulled and they were easy to get in to, made me feel cared for, and the whole process was professional, clean, and efficient. The dental hygienist Robin did an excellent job cleaning my teeth.

I had work done here (root canal) which ended up having to be re-done by an endodontist along with a new crown that they had not properly re-set and cracked. Worst part is that when I returned with a problem tooth, I got a "don't really care" attitude from the receptionist who wanted to charge me full price again. Pretty sad to see that they don't stand by their work.

Awesome dental office! My husband and I just moved to Florence. I was experiencing severe tooth pain and they saw me same day. I scheduled a procedure for the next week, but my problem worsened. They got me in first thing the next morning. Staff and providers are all really nice and professional.
