Maybe you've tried everything you know to do, but you just can't seem to move forward. Sometimes it seems like there's an invisible force holding you back from what you really want in life. Whether you've been stuck for weeks, months, or years, it's possible to break free from limiting beliefs and patterns and change.
When events happen to us that contradict our personal values and beliefs about the way our life should have been, we experience a variety of negative emotions. The chemical responses triggered in our brains by our emotions determines how these memories are stored in our brains. When issues are not resolved in a short period of time, those disturbing events are recorded in our brains as ongoing situations.

EMDR facilitates the accessing and processing of memories to bring these to an adaptive resolution. After successful treatment with EMDR, emotional distress is relieved, negative beliefs are reformulated, and physiological arousal is reduced.

Although my work with clients is the primary focus of my practice, I enjoy working with new counselors to help them develop their counseling skills and become competent, effective therapists. If you are pursuing licensure in Georgia and are looking for a supervisor, I will be glad to discuss my approach, availability and fees for supervision with you.
