Sara, The Tailory's head designer and founder, is an established tailor and designer. Her love for fashion has taken her on a quest to find training in as many facets of the fashion industry as possible. Sara spent 7 years expertly working as a Tailor for a men's designer suit company, all the while attending Grad school and acquiring a Master of Science in Fashion Design.

I've worked with Sara over the last 2 years to make the initial alternations for my wedding gown for my elopement and then again to make some final adjustments prior to our larger wedding ceremony. Sarah feels like a fairy godmother who uses her magic to make you look and feel impeccable in your gown while also making you feel like an old friend. Her skills are beyond and she provides truly excellent and professional service. Hands down THE BEST in the Philadelphia-area!

Sara was more than great. She deserves all the stars! My wedding outfit was 3 pieces and Sara did a fantastic job on all 3 pieces. We did a large rework of the top of the dress that included moving the waist, adding boning, adding lace, and adjusting the overall fit. Sarah also removed the train from my gown as I had an overskirt so I decided to not have a bustle. She always made me feel comfortable and was always on point. I can't say enough about what an absolutely incredible job Sara did, and how supported she made me feel. She took my dress which was too big and had no structure and made it fit me perfectly and look incredible. And she was so sweet and instructive throughout the whole process. I can't imagine why anyone would get their bridal gown tailored anywhere else.

Sara at The Tailory is the best! She is so sweet and professional. She is open and communicative. She worked with me throughout the multiple delays and postponements of our wedding due to the pandemic. The top portion of my dress was far too large when I first brought it in, but Sara did a great job both resizing it and refitting the lace. It felt like a dream to wear it! Sara did an amazing job on my wedding dress alternations last year. My dress was difficult to work with due to the train length, beading and the fact that it couldn't fit on a mannequin. She is highly skilled and absolutely wonderful to work with. Another thing - I don't know how she figured out my bustle, but it was stunning!! Thanks so much Sara!!

Sara is wonderful to work with. Not only did she alter my gown, with its delicate lace and hidden seams, to perfection, but her sparkling personality made the appointments a joy. She definitely cares about her clients- I felt very comfortable going to her even in the midst of the pandemic due to all the safety measures she was taking. I was referred to Sara at The Tailory after I purchased my wedding gown from Lovely Bride in Old City. The dress was big when it came in, and I was nervous! Sara did a great job assuring me that it was the right size and would be perfect after alterations. I see many people reviewing Sara's work and I'm sure she's great because Tony, who handles men's alterations, does a fantastic job. I can be particular especially when it comes to how my dress pants fit and honestly Tony gets it perfect every time. I reached out via, Instagram, email and phone 1 month prior to my wedding needing relatively simple alterations (hem, waste- maybe a sleeve). They were not able to accommodate me. Unfortunately there's no simple way to schedule an appointment or see if they're availability so I had to wait for a response. I can't say enough good things about Sara! I was referred to Sara by Lovely in Old City. I was super nervous going into my first appointment knowing my dress needed a ton of work to the top. However, my nerves quickly disappeared as Sara quickly demonstrated how skilled she really is. She was patient and listened to all my concerns. In the end my dress fit like a glove and I felt comfortable and confident all day and night.
