Norma, the daycare owner and director, earned her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis on Curriculum from CSU East Bay. We participate in the CocoKids Child Care Food Program, which is geared towards children eating well and getting active. Our backyard inspires active playtime with friends, and allows us to garden and provide sensory play (such as a water table and sand box) with the children.
Cooking, gardening, arts and crafts, and music class are just a few of the ways that we help build essential skills for your children's future success. We are outside for most of each day (weather-permitting) and believe in the power of learning through nature. Our daycare is no-screentime (with the exception of pre-planned pajama days).

Services
At Norma's Kiddie Preschool, we believe in helping every child succeed by celebrating who they are and teaching them to appreciate how individual differences make our communities stronger. We provide a library to families that helps to "de-center" identities and stories that have traditionally been seen as "normal" or standard.

Norma is an excellent caregiver. She is wonderful with the children and is always a positive bright light. She has many things for them to do, keeping them active in a time when computers and tv reign. The children are immersed in a variety of activities so they can learn through educational and play experiences. She has years of experience taking care of children aged infant to preschool. Norma has nothing but love for every child she cares for.

I absolutely love everyone at Norma's! We were so lucky to find Norma more than three years ago and both my daughters went/currently go there. From field trips, to art projects, to walks around the neighborhood - every day is a new adventure. And, with their private Instagram account, I get to follow along and see the fun. Norma, Nena and Gabby are incredible with the kids and the kids love them. I am so grateful for the time we've had at Norma's and for the love they show all the kids. They are the BEST!

Norma is my sister, and she's an amazing lady! She's warm and sweet, always smiling and happy, and truly loves children.
Her preschool is setup beautifully and professionally, and she has many years experience.… You will not find a better preschool for your precious child.
The best testimonial I can imagine is that she remains friends with many of her former students and their parents for years after their child has moved on to elementary school. She often has multiple siblings from the same family attend her school, and gets most of her students via word-of-mouth referral.
