ValStone Partners was formed in Birmingham, Michigan in 1998 by Gerald C. Timmis III, Larry E. Jennings, Jr. and Eric R. Abel-three venerable industry players. Between 1998 and 1999, ValStone Partners completed its first transactions, including a $100+ million portfolio of loans.
At that time, a major private institution identified our firm as a strategic partner and commenced a co-investment program that helped grow our investment and asset management offerings.Since then, our team has expanded significantly and our assets under management have seen consistent growth.
