About Report

Sheboygan Theatre Company is a deeply rooted, multi-generational community theatre serving Sheboygan and its surrounding areas. Originally known as Community Players, STC (Sheboygan Theatre Company) was founded in 1934 when talented citizens from nearly 30 separate theatre groups combined to provide quality entertainment on the shore of Lake Michigan.

We are so thrilled to share our upcoming 2021-2022 season! We have been working tirelessly to research safe theatre practices for onstage, backstage and in the audience and cooking up an amazing season for you. After our year of hiatus, we are very excited to welcome theatre back home to the Leslie W Johnson Theatre at the Horace Mann Middle School Campus!

Studio Players Report

Studio Players was created in 2012 as a unique alternative to the main stage productions at Sheboygan Theatre Company (STC). Great theatre can come in all shapes and sizes, and not every show is effective as a large-scale production. With this in mind, Studio Players strives to offer diverse content that is thought-provoking, moving and entertaining.

Current Events Report

Alice Wilson got bit by the drama bug early in elementary school and continued to act on stage throughout high school and into college. In 2004 she earned her bachelor's degree in theatre performance from UW-Milwaukee. During her senior year at UWM she began working as an art model & became more immersed in visual arts.

Very nice theater. Didn't know what to expect since it's at a middle school but was very impressed. The performance of It's a Wonderful Life was very enjoyable.

Professional directors put the great local talent in their best light to create masterful performances. The Nerd, for example, was the best comedy of the decade.

The Wizard of Oz was a wonderful production. The acting was several notches above what you'd expect from 'community theatre.' However, the superior set design and excellent orchestra really made the production a treat to behold.

Everything about out visit tonight was wonderful, starting with the fact we had lost our ttickets and it was no problem getting new ones printed. The easiness was fabulous.
The production of It's a Wonderful Life was great. The cast did wonderfully and the sets were well done. We enjoyed the production, which is why we've been season ticket holders for 20 years.

"Moon over Buffalo" was the most entertaining performance we have seen in years at Sheboygan Theater. Actors were over the top....and laughter was heard all evening!

Totally gifted actors & actresses. We just saw " The Secret Garden" & they sang like opera pro's til the end. It was spectacular!!

The Sheboygan Theater Company always showcases such great shows. While the tickets may be more expensive than other activities in the area, the experience is more than worth it.
