The fruit comes from the Sangiacomo Family Vineyards just south of the town of Sonoma in the Carneros area, which provides ideal soils and climate. The Sangiacomos have been sustainably farming for three generations, providing quality grapes for numerous wineries since the late 1960s. On the nose, beautiful aromas of ripe yellow peach, meyer lemon, and chamomile mingle together with hints of clove and vanilla.
This new Distinguished Cellar Series Auction features an extraordinary, single-owner cellar carefully removed by SWA specialists just this week from the professional, state-of-the-art, temperature- and humidity-controlled wine storage facility in San Diego County where it has been pristinely stored for years.
To which US states can you NOT ship wine? Many US states impose various, oppressive restrictions and costs upon outside firms shipping wine within their borders. For some states, Spectrum Wine Auctions often can, however, utilize external services that hold the relevant licenses to legally ship wine into such states.

This was my first experience using an on line auction site to purchase wine.
Naturally, I did a bit of research about the company to comfort myself before purchasing anything. (which I eventually did, and was the winning bidder)
I was so impressed by their inspection procedures taken on each individual bottle or case(s) of wine. Every imaginable detail . Nothing overlooked .From temperature controlled warehousing until orders are shipped, cataloguing, capsule and cork inspection, neck tag notes. The list goes on and on. And the selections are so vast, it is mesmerizing.

How awesome is this place?!??!?? Totally think it's brilliant for those of us who can't keep from opening up every bottle of wine we have at home. Allows you to store and keep those important aging bottles for a better time! They also have a great selection to choose from. Totally love it here!

I have been participating in auctions with Spectrum Wine for over two years. The lots in which I have won have been in great condition & I've never had to make a complaint. The staff members are great, extremely helpful & personable, especially Amy & Trish. They always go the extra mile.
Since I have been participating in auctions with Spectrum, I have not been auctioning with any other auction house. This is due to their large selection of wines & spirits which are of great quality as they conduct a thorough inspection of the items to be placed for auction. Also, their website is very simplistic

With greetings to wine tasters everywhere, let me share my recent experience with Spectrum Wine. I think this might be useful if you are considering the sale of your wine in return for cash. Let me describe my experience.
My first and continuing contact was with Kerry Seaworth, a straightforward, informative, extremely reliable, and even kindly source of information. She advanced Spectrum's purchase proposal without delay, responded within minutes of my inquiries, unhesitatingly scheduled a time for Spectrum's review of the bottles in my cellar, and impeccably fulfilled the details of the transaction

I've had 3 interactions with Spectrum Wine Auctions...
1. Placed bids and won a bottle of Whisky only to find out afterwards that there was no original packaging included. There was no mention of this anywhere on the listing. I emailed Spectrum and was told that this was noted on the auction listing. I looked all over and even took screenshots of the listing. No notes anywhere about the original box not being included.
2. Placed bids on and won 2 different items. After the auction ended, I didn't receive any notification about winning or how to pay/receive my items. I called Spectrum to check

Spectrum Wine is the top wine vendor to search for the marketplace for hard to find wines & special wines. Jason, the CEO runs a tight ship & they have 1000's of lots of wine up for auction every week. They take care of your needs 100% as a bidder or seller from top to bottom & always overachieve every time! Never has a wine store or business or auction house ever done any better than Spectrum Wines in my eyes!
They have full service warehousing prior to auction & after also. They have retail site, they have huge storage area's in CA for both the auction wines & for your own wine storage! They

Obviously the owner cares about the company and also the customer to employ and retain great people such as amy who helped me. Its a absolutely refreshing feeling dealing with spectrum wines and i will absolutely order again. The website works great, tons of wine at any price range you like that you would never be able to locate in the midwest. There are people standing by if you have a question

I'm updating this review from 2 to 4 stars because the I was impressed with how responsive Spectrum's CEO was to the feedback. They've opened up a cheaper shipping option to DC and given me some help with how to identify new listings. It could still be better: folks outside major hubs are still going to pay a ton for shipping, and it's not super easy to identify new listings, but progress is progress!

I have been a customer of Spectrum Wine Auctions for a over 5 years. Jason and his team are of the professional and ethical standards. I have both bought and sold wine through Spectrum and I have been 100% satisfied with every transaction. I would highly recommend Spectrum to anyone looking to purchase great wine that has been obtained from well-vetted sources, or that is looking to sell their wine in a fair and competitive manner.

I used to store my 500-bottle collection at Wine Cellar Club, but I found the owners unappreciative of my business, so I moved my collection to Legend Cellars, who welcomed me with open arms and treated me like a king. Rates are lower and management is more respectful and polite. That is my opinion based on my own personal experiences. Your experiences might be different.

I agree with the other reviewers that Scott and Jennifer are absolutely great to work with. I trust their security (cameras/video surveillance and locked doors) with my expensive wines and I appreciate how accommodating they have been to my specific needs. When I first signed up with them, I had a bunch of wine that I needed to move ASAP, and they were able to get me a 48-case storage spot the same day and Scott helped me unload my 18 cases of wine from my truck quickly since it was hot outside. The flexibility with their convenient hours and also the ability to have my wine orders shipped there

I can't believe I haven't written a review on the great facility and people of Legends Cellars as of yet. I moved my wine here a few years ago after a bad experience at WCC. I started out with one small locker that grew to 2 small lockers...then a walk in...then two...and so on. Scott and the Jen's have been incredibly accommodating and gracious at every turn. They have gone above and beyond for me countless times and make my life easier on a weekly basis. It is a pleasure to support such nice small business owners.

I want to update my review of Legend Cellars. But first, let me say that I was kicked out of Wine Cellar Club today. Yes, that's right, kicked out.

Why, you ask? Because the management at WCC did not like my review of Legend Cellars here on Yelp, the one I had written two years ago. You see, Legend is their direct competitor, and WCC seems to hold a grudge against anyone who leaves them for greener pastures, which is what I did several years ago. And the fact that I wrote a review about it seems to have hardened that grudge even more.

Today, that grudge reared its ugly head. I was attending

I have been storing my overflow of wine here for 4-5 years. Maybe more. Great service and people. The original Jennifer (who we all hope to see again soon!) and the 'new' Jennifer, co-owner with her husband, Scott, are welcoming and go out of their way to be helpful.

This is a place I come to just to hang-out at times. So do others. There is a comfortable inside lounge (I'm stretched out on one of the leather couches right now!) and a large outside patio area with lots of tables. Sharing bottles with others is part of the attraction of storing wine here.

Free wifi. Free receipt

I have had a locker here for 2 years now. They have a large wharehouse type room filled with different size storage lockers. Mine is cheap since I need a ladder to reach it. They have big rolling ladders so it's really no problem. For the big spenders, there are walk-in lockers.

The reason for 5 stars, though, is for the facilities. You can stop by and taste wines with friends - they have a large tasting room as well as an outside patio area. The parties they throw (about once a month)are really fun, too. Lots of people open thier own wines but Legends also provides wine and food free

I am quite surprised that this place is so close by and I was not aware of its existence. It's a fine wine storage warehouse that keeps the temperature at 57 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity at 65%.

I was here for an exclusive event by Legends. The owners of the wines stored there open up their cellars for a night of tasting and dining on bratwurst and spinach dip. The hallways are fun to walk around as artwork is displayed while you mingle and taste diff wines.

I thought the atmosphere was pretty rad, but I had a lot of trouble walking around with a plate of bratwurst and spinach dip..
