MR Ivey is very thorough. He does heat mapping pictures, is extremely knowledgeable of code issues. I was not able to be there during inspection, but I feel very confident he discovered all major issues with the houses I have looked at recently. He is also easy to reach by phone and patient with questions!

Wow! Forest Ivey is THE BEST home inspector in Texas! I was very impressed with his work and professionalism - The Smart Inspector indeed! An excellent job well done, very thorough from start to finish. He took pictures of EVERYTHING and explained in detail what the problems were and how I could get them fixed in a format that was very easy to understand and follow. Met the inspector, Brian, there at the home. He was kind enough to explain the things he found very thoroughly and was incredibly knowledgeable. At the end of the inspection, I was very confident in his judgements and that he truly had the safety of people as the backbone of all he did. He even called later to advise of a very slight addendum, which to me would have been unnecessary, but his ethics and attention to detail wouldn’t let him overlook it.

I was recommended by our realtor. I contacted Forest and he was very nice and professional and honest. We were in a time crunch to get the house we were trying to get inspected so I called Forest and he was able to get the inspection done the next day first thing in the morning. He found things wrong or that needed attention I didn’t even noticed when I did my walk around the house. Unfortunately we did not get the house not for inspection reasons but for other reasons. All this to say I will be contacting The Smart Inspector again for the next house I need an inspection done on and for any future

Forest was a referral to us. We called several inspectors when purchasing our first home. From the beginning Forest impressed us, was very polite on the phone, the day of the inspection he really took his time and did a fantastic job. He answered every question we had. We felt secure and comfortable asking him any questions. He also gave us recommendation and was very sincere on his report. We absolutely recommend him 100% best inspector for sure!
