I left two paintings by a noted Chatham artist. After a few months, one sold and since the time limit for reclaiming items was pending, I asked about the other. The answer was that interest in the painter was rising after her recent death and I should leave the painting. Now 1 1/2 years later without a peep, I called to get a status update. I was told that the painting had been sold at auction and that nothing was due the estate I was representing. Be very , very careful if you deal with these people.
