I ordered a handicap cab for my mom on Christmas Eve dispatch was horrible they just made it sound like there was no way I could get a cab or but I went with it and the cab driver that brought my mom to my house and took her home was awesome even told me if I couldn't get somebody to call him on his personal number and he would make sure he got back to get my mom this five stars is for that cabbie driver

I'm giving this rating because when I was picked up for a ride to the airport on 9/18/21, the driver was not wearing a mask. I had to ask him twice to put a mask on. Currently, face masks are required for all ride share drivers and passengers in Multnomah County. When I called Portland Taxi later to report my issue, I was told I needed to send an email. When I asked what their mask policy was, I was again told to send an email, which I did. As of today, 9/26/21, I have not received a response.

There I was trying to stay cool under the historic "heat dome" and the merciless traffic of outer north 82nd but I was losing it because I had already walked under the hot sun for probably over a mile trying to find the airport Radisson. I was told 20 minuites to an hour. I called them back after 2 hours and was told they cancelled the ride an hour ago and had no other drivers. I never got a call or text, which made it faaar too late to book another cab. When I asked why nicely, I got hung up on. Would give 0 stars if I could, cuz this happened TWICE in 2 days.

The manager of this company gave my Uncle a ride and noticed that he was being scammed by the person my Uncle was talking to on the phone. My Uncle is older and has some mental health issues. The cab driver realized what was going on and told my Uncle what was up. Bottom line, this guy saved my Uncle from being scammed big time!

My tire went flat and i had no spare so i had to have AAA take my car home and per AAA needed a taxi vs them take me home. ken was my driver and was absolutely wonderful. Not only did he arrive fast but he waited an hour for AAA to arrive after arriving to me since i had to be their for the pick up and then helped me get my 3 little babies in and mind u its 1030pm an ungodly hour screaming tired babies and he was so very kind then the drive home was another hour and he was incredibly intelligent and i was able to gain useful helpful knowledge and tips from cars to healthy eating. Highly recommend! A group of friends and I attended a wedding where there was no cell phone service so we called Portland Taxi Cab prior to the wedding and scheduled a pick up. It was an uneasy feeling doing this not knowing if they would show up and being somewhere with no service BUT they showed up and on time! Our driver was very professional but also willing to have good conversation with us. Will use again in the future!

Such a disappointment... last night I called this taxi service. The woman who took my information was bored and sounded half asleep. She asked me endless questions. After spending about 8 minutes on the phone with her she ended up calling me back saying there were no taxis in my area. First of all aren't taxis able to drive to my area? Amazing service! My driver showed up a few minutes early, he was very polite and got me to my destination without any problems. The cab was super clean! I've used broadway and radio cab in the past and have had so so service. I decided to try Portland taxi and am so glad I did. I'll be using them in the future for sure.

We ordered a taxi for 6:15 a.m pick up the next day. Phone call at 6:15 (as promised), said he was here, but he was not there. Called the service, they said they didn't know where the can was, offered to call Radio Cab. But it was too late. I had to find a way to get to the hospital. Not cool. I don't recommend this taxi service.

WARNING: They are scammers. I got quoted $55 - $57 on the phone and took the taxi this morning and the cost came to $121.50. The driver seemed to be aware of the crappy operators that they have and offered me a 10% discount.
The driver was very nice and timely but that doesn't excuse charging over 200% of the quoted price. Would NEVER use them again. An uber would have cost me $61.50 but I went with Portland Taxi because they quoted me about $5 less.

This "driver" decided to take me on the most cirquitious route imaginable. Guess he thought I didn't know where he was going. He was wrong.

Great service in an unexpected area! We've never had a driver not show or be even 5 mins late. They pull your address from your phone number if you're a repeat customer so you don't have to waste time repeating yourself each call. All drivers we've had are very professional. December 23, 2015. Early morning (5am ish) ride to the airport requested the previous night. They never showed!!!! After waiting 45 minutes I called the phone number where I made the request and the guy never heard of me. It was the same guy from the night before!! I had to jump in my truck and drive myself last-minute, spending hundreds on parking.
FFS, this is why Über and Lyft will be a success and these dispatch jockies/taxi donkeys will go the way of the dinosaurs. Personally I've had better success with radio/sassys cab. No more!!

This company is very reliable, friendly, and has clean cars. When I scheduled a taxi, I got person within three rings and was done within 1 minute.
Kelly is an awesome driver. She knows how to keep a conversation and made what could have been a boring ride something I'll remember fondly from this trip.

Super dependable for trips to the airport. I've used them about 4 times now, and they're always a couple minutes early. The online reservation system is a breeze.
During my last trip, I mentioned to the driver about how dependable Portland Taxi is, and he said the owner is really strict (in a good way) about his drivers being reliable and providing good service. Called a few days before our trip and asked about a wheelchair taxi, they said they 'had 4 and to call an hour before we arrived' (by train). Called an hour, out and got an answering machine. I was worried about getting a cab from my friend's house in North Portland to the airport at 5:00am on a Sunday, so, after reading a few reviews, I decided to give Portland Taxi Cab a try. I was not disappointed!
Joel was ready and waiting fifteen minutes before my 5:00am pickup, and was friendly and helpful in loading my bags, recommending good airport coffee, and being generally cheerful at such an early hour.

I went onto their website to reserve a cab for Halloween night knowing that most taxis would be busy and i wanted to make sure i had something locked down. The website said they would text me with a confirmation and i received nothing. So i called them the next day to make sure that they received my reservation.
