Law Offices Of Jay S. Lowenthal
Jay was referred to us during a very low point in our life. We were skeptical at first, not knowing what to expect from an attorney. I found Jay to be competent, honest, hard working and kind. During this stressful event, we needed someone that we could trust to guide us, and Jay did that. With his help and undying patience we were able to resolve our problem and move on to a brighter future.

I would recommend - and have recommended - his law firm to my friends and family. Jay Lowenthal helped me in the worst possible time of my life. Jay is very caring and personable and did everything possible to make me feel comfortable and get the job done. I can't put it into words how good his services are and the level he goes to, to make you feel comfortable and informed every step of the way.

I believe that the courts are the last place where there is still a chance in getting justice. Generally speaking, Congress only worries about protecting the rich and getting re-elected and the President's only real power is in foreign affairs. So it's left to the courts to provide the fairness and equal protection that remain the cornerstone of our country's foundation.
One of the keys to a successful case is communication. From the initial appointment to the end of a case, I make it a point to stay in touch with each client whether by phone, mail, e-mail, fax or office visits. Clients must be continuously updated and informed about their case which makes it an important core value that is given to all clients equally.
Chapter 7 bankruptcy is intended for people in financial turmoil who do not have the ability to repay their existing debts, such as that from credit cards, medical bills, judgments (from lingering past debt) and/or payday loans. Lowenthal Law helps individuals and families get a fresh financial start through Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Under Chapter 13 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, if a person is struggling with insurmountable debt, they may reorganize their financial obligations under a supervised monthly payment plan. Upon filing for Chapter 13, the trustee will supervise the repayment of your debts and other financial obligations over a predetermined period (usually 3 to 5 years).
If the current terms of your loan make it impossible for you to keep up with the payments, I can help you seek a loan modification that provides terms and payment amounts that are more manageable. Government programs like the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) were implemented to help make mortgage payments more affordable for those struggling.
