Services
Shawn Reese, DDS offers a full array of dental services to help you maintain healthy teeth. Treating gum disease starts with the removal of any plaque and hardened deposits (tartar or calculus) on the tooth root surfaces. This may be followed by other non-surgical treatments and/or periodontal surgery to remove diseased tissue and restore your mouth to the best possible health.
All our professionals at Shawn Reese, DDS maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in periodontics. Dr. Reese graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1996 at the top of his class. Prior to his graduation he did a dental externship at Northwestern University.
Of all the ways modern dentistry has to replace missing teeth, dental implants are by far the best. There is no tooth-replacement option that will give you a longer-lasting result. Implants also help preserve tooth-supporting bone that naturally deteriorates when a tooth is lost. Loss of bone is one of the major hidden consequences of losing teeth.
They are inside your laptop computer and your DVD player, present on the factory floor and the supermarket checkout line. And now, lasers are finding increasing use in dentistry. Someday soon, you may have a routine dental procedure performed with the aid of a powerful, yet highly controllable beam of laser light, instead of a drill or a probe.
It is not a given that we must lose teeth as we age. If we maintain good oral hygiene and have regular professional cleanings and oral examinations, chances are we can keep our natural teeth for life. That involves not only caring for the teeth themselves, but also the structures that surround them: the gums and tooth-supporting bone.

Dr. Reese and his team did an amazing job with my procedure this year. I had hot/cold sensitivity on one of my molars due to gum recession. Dr. Reese restored my gum tissue and eliminated the pain. He did an excellent job of explaining what to expect, and he was very thorough. I highly recommend him!

Whie I have no complaints on the quality of his work, I did have a problem with the pricing. Specifically, I was given a hard price for the procedure that was supposed to be all inclusive. After extraction of the cracked molar and before the surgical placement of the implant body, I was sent to another dentist for a mold to be made. That mold was specifically required to aid in accurate placement by Dr. Reese of the implant body. I was billed $488.00 for this mold in addition to the original price quoted for the procedure by Dr. Reese. I was never advised that there would be this additional expense

Excellent service from start to finish! Clean, professional atmosphere. Appointments have been right on time, no waiting. The receptionists and dental assistants are friendly and helpful, both in person and on the phone. Dr. Reese is so patient and kind, with a very calming demeanor. He is very thorough and explains EVERYTHING he is doing, he always takes the time to answer all questions you might have. Let’s face it, dental work is not fun (I had a tooth pulled) but you can be confident this team of professionals will give you the BEST care possible! Top notch crew! Thank you!
