I recently moved overseas for work and needed to request an extension to file taxes. My mom used Raul for a few years and recommended I ask him to do it. Due to time zone differences, my mom reached out to Raul for me to figure out how to request the extension. Every time she called, texted, or emailed, he was evasive and unresponsive. Eventually, she worked with Becky who took down my information. They filed for my extension but provided no other information, despite our probing if there was anything else we needed to do, or anything we needed to pay up front. Becky told us we didn't need

Called in for an appointment last Feb 23, 2021 and I was set to meet with Raul Castillo on Apr 05, 2021. I was assisted by his staff (Ruby/Becky) to set the appointment. I called back Mar 17 to know what docs need to be submitted/emailed and confirm my appointment. Once I completed emailing those docs, Mr. Castillo responded that he is fully booked until Apr 15th. I emailed back informing him that I already have a sked with him April 05. Then after some minutes of that email, Ruby, his staff, called me on my cellphone informing that Mr. Castillo have an emergency and he has to go somewhere on Apr

DO NOT USE!! Raul was referred to us by our realtor to handle our personal income tax after the sale of our house. We contacted him to inquire about fees and wanting to meet. He said he can't meet but would be happy to answer any questions we have. We have contacted him via telephone and text message about a question we have. And he REFUSES to answer his phone now. This tells us he is a very sneaky tax guy and would mislead and not handle our taxes accurately. It's worth the money to hire someone more expensive.

Unfortunately, my experience with Raul has not been positive like the other reviewers. I had been using Raul for tax services for quite some time and I thought he did a great job until my husband and I were audited by the IRS. I thought Raul would assist us in resolving the audit however, Raul provided minimal help and we had to pay approximately $6,000 back to the IRS. This was really upsetting especially since I don't have a spare 6K laying around. I had a lot of questions about why we were audited for such a high amount of money because I did not try to "fudge" any numbers

I was surprised to see this site up without a review and figured it must be a duplicate. Anyways, like what I said in my previous review, "Kuya Raul" has been doing my taxes since 2005. He is such a professional, knows his stuff and does it right, I'm confident I won't get in trouble. So far I haven't heard from Uncle Sam, and hope that I'd never have to.

I was recommended to come to Raul from a friend. All the good recommendations usually come from word of mouth. Raul is professional and gives us advice on our taxes. Any questions we have, Raul gets back to us right away. He is extremely busy during filing time....make appointments as quick as you can.
