Avalanche Ranch Light Company grew out of the founder's desire to light up his lake cabin in 1995. Not able to find suitable rustic style lights at a local lighting store, he created the first light that later became the first product for a small company known as Avalanche Ranch Lighting. In 1997, Avalanche Ranch moved to Bellingham, Washington and began manufacturing hand-crafted rustic lodge lighting out of steel.
Today, the Company employs more than 10 people in a 24,000 square foot building that we call the "Ranch." Here at the Ranch, we bring together a unique combination of art and small batch manufacturing, applying modern equipment and production techniques to make one of a kind products right here in the USA.

This place is what you make of it. We love hot springs and so we stayed in the Covered Wagon to be as close to the pools as possible. It was rain/snow the entire time we were there which seemed to scare people out of the pools so we had them to ourselves. Since the weather was so cool we were able to hop in and out and soak for hours without getting too hot, it was gorgeous and incredibly relaxing. The hosts are very accommodating, I highly recommend staying the night to see some stars. The wagons stay warm and the beds are comfy.

We came to Avalanche Ranch for a portion of our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. We stayed in the cutest, cozy little cabin, soaked in the hot spring tubs with a spectacular view of the mountains, and had an amazing massage at the ranch. It was quiet and not over crowded, and extremely relaxing. We went into town to Glenwood Springs, about 30 mins away, and rode a gondola to the top of a mountain and had brunch. It was truly a magical and beautiful experience.
