Lance is a true master of his trade. He has designed multiple pieces of jewelry for me and I have NEVER been disappointed. The quality of his stones and his work is second to none. Even if you don’t want a custom piece he can find what you want from rings to watches. Even more impressive is his commitment to customer satisfaction. If you are not 100% pleased, he will either make it right or refund your money. If you are looking for stunning jewelry, you owe it to yourself to at least talk to Lance. You won’t be disappointed!

What an amazing experience! I have shopped at many "jewelry stores" in my time, but Shapiro's is NOT a "jewelry store." I would avoid going to this jeweler at all costs. I spoke with Lance about getting an engagement ring done and everything seemed to be going well but then he refused to respond to any emails or calls. I was told on 4 different times that he was sending me over the renderings and I never got them. It became very obvious that he only cares about a customer if they are spending $10k or more. This is frustrating because I thought I had found a good place but Lance proved to only care about a big paycheck and not working with customers. I would never recommend this jeweler and would recommend you find

Lance is the consummate professional. He built my wife's wedding ring. This time, I asked him to construct my wife's diamond earrings, but in a shortened amount of time. I brought Lance and his team a 100+ year old family diamond with very little knowledge of diamonds, engagement rings, or the process of creating a ring. Lance took the time to educate me and bring my thoughts and vision to reality. I met with Lance late March 2018. We exchanged information about making a ring to my liking. I was ordering a 3 carat men's band in white gold. All was going good until I asked about the 4 C's. I wanted to know the clarity and color more specifically; these are important pieces of information, wouldn't you agree. I waited for over a week and no detail from Lance. My fiancé inherited rings passed down from his great grandmother. Replacing the diamonds was no easy feat, as the prongs were worn down over the years.
It took a bit of time, but I could not be more pleased with the end results. Both the engagement ring and band are absolutely gorgeous.

Lance is absolutely incredible to work with. He took his time and worked with my fiance to create an absolutely gorgeous custom engagement ring. From there, I had the opportunity to connect closer with Lance on our wedding bands. My husband designed my engagement ring with Shapiro Diamonds. He told me he started designing it in August 2015 and it wasn’t completed until December 2015 (when my husband proposed). He had it hand engraved on the outside of the ring, had a pearl setting, and a laser design on the inside. It was absolutely a work of art! It had to be resized a few times and I had bumped the pearl one too many times and had to reset the pearl once. Lance took care of any changes that needed to be made and ensured it was just perfect. Well, it's been six short months since we ordered and received my second wedding band to celebrate our five-month anniversary. Ordering was easy peasy. I communicated with Lance via email and telephone (when I was in the US). Lance used measurements and other details from our original wedding band. He then mailed the ring to a relative's address and my husband collected it on a recent trip to the US. My first look at the band was when it arrived back in the UK. It's full of awesomeness just like my other two rings!

Lance is and amazing person to work with! My fiancé purposed with an amazing ring custom designed by Lance and himself that completely took my breath away. And still, a year later, people that have seen it millions of time are still amazed by it as well!
We are now in the process of designing our wedding bands and the process is easy and care free. Lance is very straight forward about design and is very keen at picking up on creative cues you have as well. My partner and I ordered our wedding rings through Shapiro Diamonds and couldn't be happier. We had a one-on-one meeting with Lance, who "interviewed" us to gauge our interests, lifestyles and other criteria to help pinpoint the right ring style and design for us.
Ultimately, we ended up with matching platinum bands that look and feel amazing. Also, we feel that they're a good reflection of our personalities - one of us is a little flashy and the other pretty subdued/conservative. The rings are a great balance of the two.

WARNING: If you are considering Shapiro, at least look at the photos of an actual product Lance custom made for me that he considers "exceptional" work. A few are posted in the album above and there's another link at the bottom of this review.
I'd give ZERO stars if I could. I went through the WHOLE process and ended up having to get a refund because my custom engagement ring was horrible, the experience frustrating and Lance tarnished my engagement.
