Dr. Megan Larson, a native to the Central Coast, has always envisioned starting an audiology practice in her hometown. The dream of opening her own practice became a reality in 2020. Dr. Larson graduated with her Doctorate of Audiology Au. D., in 2016 from Pacific University of Oregon.
She received Board Certification in Audiology, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and Academy of Doctors of Audiology and specializes in pediatric audiology.Megan became an audiologist to help thousands of Americans with hearing loss enjoy those special moments they miss with family and friends.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality hearing diagnostic evaluations and treatment, and to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction with all hearing care needs. As a Doctor of Audiology, we are diagnosticians who understand the global implications of test findings. Procuring the correct diagnosis is essential, but the implementation of a treatment plan allows the patient to get better.
An audiologist uses a hearing test to measure your type, degree and configuration of hearing loss. An audiology evaluation consists of a series of one or more of these tests. Your audiologist will use your test results to create a treatment plan for your unique hearing loss. An audiology (or hearing) evaluation can benefit patients of all ages, even those who do not show signs of hearing loss.
Hearing aids are designed for all types of hearing loss, lifestyles and budgets. We work with the following manufacturers to provide you with a custom, first-rate solution for your hearing loss. Implantable devices work differently than a hearing aid. They are designed for those with profound hearing loss who cannot be helped with a traditional aid.
Tinnitus is often described as a ringing in the ears, but can also sound like hissing, buzzing, roaring, sizzling, clicking or other noise. Tinnitus can manifest as an acute symptom lasting just a few days, or a chronic or recurring symptom lasting weeks, months or years. Tinnitus is a symptom of a wide range of health conditions, and it can occasionally point to a more serious problem that needs professional medical attention.

A pleasant experience in all phases form testing to fitting of the device. Megan Larson is very empathetic and does a complete service for her patient. She explains how the device will benefit the patient and what information the patient must know to to be fully integrated with the device. I am completely satisfied with the results.

I would recommend Dr Larson to anyone. After testing my hearing, she explained exactly what was wrong and how it effected my ability to hear and understand those around me. She explained the hearing aid options and made a recommendation. She was very thorough in explaining how they worked and how they needed to be cared for. At my two week followup, adjustments were quickly made to improve the fit and my hearing quality. I called her office with other questions and her staff was very knowledgeable and friendly and were able to immediately help me. I wish I could have the same experience with all

I was thrilled to hear Megan Larson opened a practice - she was the technician who assisted when I bought my hearing aids in 2016. She listens CAREFULLY (too many don't!) and adjusts the hearing aids to get maximum comfort for sound level, auditory quality. It's tricky to get hearing aids close as possible to normal hearing! So glad to find her again!!!

My mother in her late 70's was convinced she didn't need hearing aides. She resisted the notion actively for more than a year. However, a SLO ENT recommended MK Larson Audiology and my mother was simply charmed. Dr. Larson spent a couple of hours and even let my mom take home a pair of hearing aides to try. In short Dr. Larson is a genius. If she can sell my mom on hearing aides, she can convince ANYONE.
My mom now has wonderful hearing aides, and I no longer dread talking with her on the phone. I have my mom back! Thank you, Dr. Larson.

I'm too young to need hearing aids. That's what I told myself for a year after finding out it was time. My wife noticed I seemed disinterested in social interactions and wondered if it was because I was having difficulty following conversations... It was time. I saw an add announcing that Dr Larson was opening an office in my neighborhood off of California in San Luis Obispo. I decided it was a sign. While I knew my hearing wasn't all it used to be, Dr Larson took the time to explain things way beyond what my previous Dr had done. Her office is spotless and the equipment is all new

No parent wants to find out their child has hearing loss. Dr. Larsen delivered the news of my daughters hearing loss with kindness, patience and sensitivity. She is knowledgeable, and offers options and explanations rather than dictating treatment. She is fantastic with my daughter, who absolutely adores her.
