Recycling Services: If I could give no stars, I absolutely would!!! Initially garbage was not picked up as it should been. Resolved that - now recycling is an issue. The recycling has been out at the curb going on 4 weeks now. Service is every other week - that means 2 missed pick ups. When I initially called in, customer service advised that the driver stated it wasn't at the curb - but it was. How did the garbage get picked up then - they both go at the same time? Was advised to leave at the curb and they would get it next time. Recycling was left. Next pick up was missed. Called in and was told

They provide trash/recycling for Plain City, Ohio. I will be advising the city to look elsewhere the next time the contract comes up.

They took our recycling can away without notice. We were so surprised that we called the cops and reported it stolen! I contacted Local Waste and learned that they took the can because the previous homeowners (who had moved in July) did not renew the can rental. The "customer service" representative said that they did not have the personnel to check with us to find out if we wanted to continue the rental. But, they have time to send someone out to take

Critical: Punctuality, Quality
Every single week they throw my trash cans back into the middle of my driveway so I can't pull in off of a busy street (knocked over). I have also personally seen them knock over my recycling and let it go all over my yard without picking it up multiple times. Absolutely ridiculous.

Used them for over a year, always had the same trash cans. One has a bear resistant lever to open it. The last 2 weeks that trash can has not been emptied. Called in to get it resolved and the company said they would not come out to collect until next week since it was the same issue as last week. Was told it was the driver we have always had so why all of a sudden can’t he open a trash can designed to keep mammals with an iq of 14 out? Also always leaves the trash cans in the drive way so I have to swing out wide into the other side of the road to get into my driveway. Will be switching companies

ZERO STARS. I moved into a new home in July and since I’ve moved here they HAVE NOT picked up my trash. THATS 3 MONTHS of trash, piling up. Where am I supposed to put it? My boyfriend has emailed them several times, no response. The worst service ever I’ve never had this problem anywhere else that I’ve lived! I’m paying quarterly for them to pick up my trash, what am I actually paying for?

It’s A Health MATTER of waste specially of COVID 19 to ignore anything related to. They should be extra precautions and treat there customers differently cuz the world never been the same. Horrible experience no professionalism. I use them with my business trash pickup never on time, no concerned or bothered if trash full or not they could careless. Lazy drivers nothing but excuses to turnaround. I highly recommend to extra careful of using them any business matters cuz they don’t have any. Today was my day to be serviced for trash and recycling pickup.
This is the second week in a row my trash wasn’t picked up. I called at 9:40 am after they came and collected the trash from each side of my neighbors and not mine. Included a picture of them while they were here but did not collect my trash.
I called again at 3:00 pm and was told a work order was put in and they would be here to pick it up around 5:30.
NO ONE CAME AND PICKED IT UP!!!
Since Monday is a holiday, I cannot contact anyone till Tuesday.

They would bring my trashcan back ro my house after having shoulder surgery. I've learned to ask the truck driver questions about how furniture & mattresses should be prepared in order to be picked up or any questions. When I've called the office with questions, they would say it was up to the driver's discretion. I've learned to always ask the driver with any questions. If I was accidentally skipped with a trash pick-up, which was only once, they would come back the same day. Best trash service in my opinion.

This is the WORST Waste Management Company ever!! The Mob does a better job!!
I have a neighbor that NEVER pays his trash bill, so he always puts his 2 trash barrels with the neighbor’s trash barrel. Mind you, Local Waste Services say they will only empty ONE BARREL per property. Then why are they emptying 3 barrels at this property?? They don’t even follow their own rules!! That is 100% ILLEGAL DUMPING!! And nobody cares?? But, we are FORCED to follow their rules!!
You can’t call the Police, they say it’s a Civil matter, and if you call Local Waste Services, they do nothing about it

My town contracted with Local Waste Services so I didn't have a choice. It's been over a year now and I must say that I am completely satisfied. They take whatever I put out there, and they can tell if something is trash or recycle.

I've had two encounters with Customer Service. They have been great. One was for a problem they took care of quickly and the other was to get information which they provided me with immediately. Didn't have to look it up.

I've seen some other posts where people are less than pleased. But I haven't had any problem with them at

Every week, it's the same thing. We have a sidewalk to put the trash cans on, but instead of putting them back where they get them from, they toss them behind our cars. We make sure to watch them, and we take pictures each time. We watched the guy this morning just "shake" the cans to see if they felt full, and ended up leaving trash in one of our cans. Always unprofessional, and too lazy to simply put the trash cans back on the sidewalk.

Absolutely terrible customer service! I had severe damage to my fence since 2016 when we began service. Since then, the sales reps have had little to zero communication via phone, email, text, etc. I have thorough notes of all documented phone calls and email attempts that validate there was absolutely no contact back to me to remedy any concerns or questions. Couple that with billing issues where they continuously tried to increase my bill even though no-one would respond about coming to fix the fence damage they caused in our first month of the contract! Here we are, many calls and emails later

Horrible experience! Moved to a new property that requires us to set up trash service. The neighbor uses local so we thought that would be good to go with. Followed the process to set up service. Day of service we saw a local truck pick up our neighbors trash but bypass ours. Immediately called to try to make sure there was not an issue. They claim that they did not get the request for new service processed, and lost the paperwork which was an email even though I could show them the copy of what was sent and that it had been received on their end from Gmail. Beware: Using their website to get a quote results in them starting service without your permission. I went to their website for a quote and submitted a form. Someone emailed me stating service was started on January 12, 2018. That email ended up in my spam folder and I didn't see it. A few months later, I was contacted by a collection agency saying I owed over $100. I contacted Local Waste Services and they took approximately half of the bill. I spoke with Amber Cattran.
