We have went to another dentist (Pediatric) for years. Our last two visits weren't as friendly so it was time for a change. I found out that Ms. Brittany was working at Southern Roots so we scheduled an appt. When I called I knew they were General dentistry not just pediatric but if Brittany was there it had to be a great place.

This review is for the Kayla Street location. I have always loved Dr. Earnest so I was distraught when I found out that she had sold her practice out to Southern Roots and no longer worked there. On my first visit with this new dentist (I don't even remember his name) he tried to talk me into peridontal gum surgery with the surgeon next door. Additionally, I was told that I had three cavities. I had no tooth pain, no sensitivity, only one past filling when I was about 6 or 7 years of age, and I brush AND floss twice a day (we didn't spend thousands of dollars on braces for me to let my

Wonderful experience. I'm always rather nervous when it comes to my teeth. Went in for a cleaning and general checkup. Donna was my dental hygienist and she was absolutely incredible. Not painful in the least on top of my teeth looking and feeling the cleanest they have ever been. Best experience I've ever had with a cleaning. The staff was all very professional, timely, personable, and efficient. Will definitely be going back. James Lowder, D.D.S., was very reassuring, thorough, and kind. I moved to Southern Roots Dentistry, after my dentist retired a couple years ago and have been very pleased. They schedule the appointments far enough apart so that I do not sit and wait in their office. Typically when I arrive they are ready to take me directly back. I like that all the time but in the year of Covid that is great.

From the moment I arrived for my appointment to the second I left I was treated like family. Any questions I had the staff was quick to answer. Randi did a fabulous job of cleaning my teeth and explaining everything she was doing throughout the entire process. Dr. Lowder came in and displayed the knowledge and attention to my teeth that made me feel very informed and comfortable with any suggestions that were made. If you are wanting a new dentist or just wanting to check our Southern Roots, I would highly recommend it!

I recently moved to Shreveport and was in need of my annual cleaning. Southern Roots Dentistry is a brand new office with state of the art equipment and friendly staff. Dr. Lowder was thorough with the x-rays, cleaning, and exam. I can't wait for my next appointment! I also love the cool shirt I got for becoming a patient! Thanks Dr. Lowder!
