Caliente Mexican Restaurant is a family-owned restaurant that was founded in 2015. However, our managers and chefs have decades of experience in this business. We started a new journey here with the hopes of sharing our love for cooking with the Carmel, IN neighbors. We offer perfect, traditional recipes and are constantly trying to improve their quality and flavor.

2nd review: This is our ever favorite Mexican place in Indiana for its authentic vibe, decor and most of all most importantly food! The service is always professional and courteous. this time around we ordered something different from the usual and popular - veggie chimichanga, Camarones a La Diabla. Now don’t go by the name and think its a complex dish. Think of a spicy sauce with grilled shrimp, onion infused with garlic. I was wowed for sure! The spice was just right, not something that makes you cry. The portion was huge and filling along with the lettuce, guac, rice and beans. I love shrimp

The food and drink here are great. And depending on the server the service can be okay. Same owner as Texas Margaritas in Zionsville. Both top notch restaurants. Love the al pastor tacos, the king burrito ( get it with pork) and of course the Texas Margarita (orange is the flavor infusion you need).

Adrian is an amazing server. He was very patient with my special order. They got it perfect. The food is wonderful, and even better when made exactly like I like it!! The review would be 5 stars if they would perfect their salsa. It's the right amount of heat, but flavorless. I know after tasting the food that their excellent chefs can make the best salsa with just a little trial and error in the kitchen. Call Sal's in Selma CA maybe they'd share Eleanor's recipe with Caliente. Thank you for fabulous food and service!!
