Matthew Lukesh is about to begin his 20th year as a tattoo artist. In that expanse of time he's studied all styles of tattooing without choosing to specialize in any particular one. He was instructed early on in his career to put the client before his ego. However, come 2019, he will solely focus on his black and grey work to grow beyond a "jack of all trades".
Starting art at an early age, Jacob Grant was heavily influenced by a supportive family of artists and teachers. Frequently moving across the US, as well as outside of the country, gave way to Jacob's attraction and appreciation for art against an ever-changing background of cultures. Decades of drawing enabled Jacob to experiment in different styles and techniques; moving from pen to brush and eventually a tattoo machine.
Visit Platinum Rose and walk through the gallery to admire the ever-changing fine art from Platinum Rose artists, as well as other local and guest artists. Most pieces of work are for purchase so you may showcase yourself. We also host several art exhibitions throughout the year. This tattoo shop is amazing!! Matthew Lukesh is an absolute stud at tattooing and he did awesome on the designs I gave him. He is very easy to talk to and made sure he knew exactly what idea I had in mind before he started. I couldn’t believe the amazing work I got for such a great price. I will definitely be going back for many more sessions. His realism is absolutely fantastic.

First off, I need to say they're booked out so far simply because everything done there is absolutely superb and worth it! The entire staff is welcoming and great to talk to and the artists are all fantastic at what they do! The last time my wife and I stopped in, we had Ella do our tattoos and they ended up simply perfect! So, naturally, we ended up scheduling again! The second time we went in we had Jacob do ours and he is also just an awesome artist! We had three small tattoos lined up and we got exactly what we wanted! (We cannot express how much we love them!) Overall, the experience and quality

I love Platinum Rose! I'm leaving the state soon, so I wanted to make sure I got my tattoos done by Jacob before I left. He fit me in his schedule and made it work! He even came in when he didn't have to to make sure we finished. They're all fantastic artists, and I feel lucky to have been able to be tattooed by both Jacob (x3) and Ella❤️The artists and staff are really great! All the stars to this place ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Platinum Rose is by FAR the best studio in Iowa. I've had work done by both Josh and Jacob, and they are so unbelievably fun and talented words cannot properly describe. They understand the importance of a good tattoo. Completely original ideas and work! Just stop looking for a different studio and go there. After all the tough times this studio has been through, they deserve much more attention and patronage. Only studio I will go to

Jacob Grant did an amazing job capturing the meaningful symbols I wanted in such a beautiful way. This is my first and it was such a positive experience. This is hands down the best place to get a tattoo. The people who were working greeted me when I walked in and when I left they all thanked me for coming. It's a very nice and clean place. Jacob Grant did an excellent job on my tattoo and I couldn't be more happy with it. I highly recommend this place for a tattoo!

Jacob did a flower for me and a flower for my sister, as sister tattoos. His work was so good. The designs he came up with based on our photos and requests were gorgeous. He was super chill and friendly, had such good attention to detail, and we LOVE how they turned out. He really has a natural eye. And the price was very good. I'm super impressed with Jacob and Platinum Rose, and I'll be back if I need more work done.
