Would not recommend this firm. Originally chose this law firm based on a recommendation from our realtor. We had to rescind an accepted offer on a house during the due diligence period. This firm will not return the full earnest money amount. They claim they performed title work, but obviously that was unnecessary. Little to no communication from them during the entire process. Had to contact their office to determine why earnest money was not returned in full. No itemized invoice or any mention of labor was included. Katie at Raleigh Real Estate Law made the loan process seamless and painless. We had a few hiccups with our lender, but Katie was able to work through those without any issue. We were worried our closing date may get pushed, but she took care of it.
I think Katie's best characteristic is her honest and open communication. She explains things in a way to make sure you understand without giving you a sales pitch or treating you like just another customer. I appreciate how if she says she'll take care of something, it will get done.

Not a pleasent experience working with this firm. We came to working with them following a personal recommendation from our lender. After having to pester our lender to apply / document a previously agreed upon lender credit days before close, Raleigh Real Estate Law simultaneously added additional fees totaling the exact same amount of our lender credit. When I say simultaneously, I mean less then 48 hours until close, after receiving our closing disclosure, in the same email confirming the credit was applied. Their reasoning was the additional paperwork tied to our first time home buyer program
