Services
During the Open Water Diver course, you'll learn what you need to know to explore the underwater world using scuba. Most people find it a rewarding challenge. The Knowledge Development Portion of the course is designed so you can learn at your own pace and when it's convenient for you. Complete the academics online 24/7.
The course helps you build confidence in navigation, fine-tune buoyancy skills and introduces you to different diving activities such as wreck diving, night diving or underwater imaging. After completing your eLearning, you'll make five Adventure Dives: a deep dive (beyond 18m/60F), a navigation dive, and three additional Adventure Dives of your choice to earn your certification.
Be a leader who mentors and motivates others. Gain dive knowledge, supervision abilities, and become a role model to divers around the world. The Divemaster course teaches you to be a leader and take charge of dive activities. Through knowledge development sessions, waterskills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessment, you develop the skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities.
Consists of three knowledge development sections, three practical application sessions and four training dives. Designed for the diver transitioning from recreational diving to technical diving. The Tec 40 / XR course is where you transition from recreational scuba diving to technical diving.
It's a great place to start because it's the first subdivision of the full Tec Diver course and bridges the gap between no stop diving and full technical deep decompression diving.You gain experience and begin building the knowledge and skills you need to continue your tec diver training. You will qualify to make limited decompression dives to 40 metres/130 feet.

This fundamental course prepares you to provide proper care for life-threatening illnesses or injuries until professional emergency medical care is available. The life-support skills taught in this course include one-person CPR, use of automatic external defibrillators, bleeding management, assisting a choking victim and responding to a person in shock.

I recently dove for the first time during a trip to Thailand. I was immediately hooked...no pun intended. Upon returning to Nashville, TN I met up with Dan at the Scuba Shack who was excited to assist me on my new adventure with diving. Once I completed the online PADI course, I setup my meeting with Dan and we were off to the water to finish my training. Dan and his team were amazingly knowledgeable, patient and worked with me at my pace. They took their time and ensured I mastered all the required skills. Their expertise made it effortless for me. Went in to see about taking up scuba diving and Dan was great. He answered all my questions, very helpful, looking forward to starting something new.

What a gem to find a great scuba shop and awesome dive instructor close to home in Brentwood! I have had several instructors over many years and Dan is the best! Dan is truly expert but also fun and thorough and he transfers knowledge well - you just know you are in good hands! My dh had to do recertification as he lost his dive card from long ago. Dan and the shop really helped out as we had a short deadline before flying off for an overseas dive trip. We bought some new equipment too - we are enjoying it - and the dive leaders here in Bahamas have all complimented us on it :). Great all around

I am so incredibly grateful for Dan and the Scuba Shack team's products and services. We are planning a trip to Belize in 2 months and contacted them to discuss the process for getting fitted for gear and gaining SSI Dive Certification. Dan walked us through orientation, gear fitting and was very accommodating on scheduling our open water dives at the BEAUTIFUL Martha's Quarry scuba training facility. We are now certified and ready to roll! As far as training, Dan and Tim were both incredibly professional, patient working with us and just so skilled overall at their craft. Huge thank

A group of friends and myself took the open water diver course this weekend. While we didn’t complete all of our check dives this weekend we did have an awesome time. We spent our first day with Sarah, who was awesome. We spent today with Dan who was also awesome. Both days there was a dive master on hand as well as our instructors, safety was paramount. We all had a great time and learned a ton. The focus was on learning and mastering the skills needed to be a safe diver, however those skills were being taught in a fun and engaging format that really made us feel comfortable. I would 100% recommend

I reached out to this school to get my wife and daughter certified as well as to take a refresher course for me as I had not dived in awhile. Dan and his school were very accommodating in scheduling us in. The course work and dives were fantastic and done at a pace that worked well for all to learn what was needed. I have been diving since 1983 and can say from experience that Scuba Shack is of the highest caliber service.

I recently completed the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy class with Dan and I highly recommend him as an instructor. He is patient and clearly explains concepts and skills, taking the extra step to explain why we are doing what we are doing. We were in a mixed group of individuals including some who were doing a refresher and others completing their open water certification. He was able to incorporate all the students in the same group, ensuring that each had what they needed but that the group was moving forward and learning together. I'll definitely be relying on Dan for future training needs

I got my Open Water certification through Scuba Shack. Dan's instruction strikes the right balance between focus on safety and essential skills while also keeping things fun.
