About Naperville Acupuncture CenterOur clinic was founded in 2003 by Frank Grill, L.ac. Our first location was at Universal Spirit Yoga, which we soon outgrew. Following that, we moved to Ogden Avenue in Naperville before moving to our current location on Mill Street in 2011. Since our opening we have given over 40,000 acupuncture treatments.
At Naperville Acupuncture Center, we take a contemporary approach to acupuncture. We use an ancient therapy, but understand its mechanisms and effects using present-day scientific human physiology. The goal of Chinese medicine is to identify the pattern underlying the symptoms, and then to correct the pattern.
Bell's Palsy is a one sided paralysis of the face which comes on suddenly. It is presumed that a virus inflames a nerve, causing it to swell and become compressed within the temporal bone. It can cause weakness or complete paralysis. It may be difficult to smile or close the eye completely. The patient may also feel a numb or heavy feeling in the face.
As we get older, many of us experience injuries over the years that don't completely heal. We get many slight injuries every year. Even simple things like a fall or lifting something too heavy can leave us not being able to reach as far, squat as low, or bend as easily in our 40's (or beyond) as we did when we were young.
Do you have heel pain? This condition seems to have become an epidemic. According to the Permanente Journal, plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain and has been estimated to affect about two million people in the US, resulting in more than one million visits to both primary care physicians and foot specialists!

Having recently relocated to Naperville from out of state I was looking for a person who could do dry needling using electro-stem vs pistoning. For whatever reason that "flavor" of dry needling works much better for me. Frank takes his time and is always willing to work on what ever body parts I need, vs some other people I've been to who will only do one area per session. I have been here multiple times now and will be going back on a regular basis to keep me pain free and active.

I have been going to Frank now for a few months. I have a hip and knee issue. I started with him with the worst pain I've ever had. Trouble walking and sleeping. But I'm happy to say that after several treatments, I've felt a noticeable improvement.I highly recommend Frank. He's a super nice guy and excellent at what he does. Highly recommend Frank Grill and staff. They are very friendly, the place is clean and best of all, they helped cure my ailments. I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and was being treated for 3 months - with orthotics, brace, wraps, icing, NSAIDs, and physical therapy - before coming here. The condition was getting progressively worse - the doctor scheduled me for an MRI and told me that surgery was likely.
A friend suggested that I try acupuncture. Having no experience or concept of what's involved, I was hesitant at first. But the pain was so bad I figure anything was worth a try. On my very first visit I was impressed by the knowledge of Frank Grill. He was able to explain to me the cause of the issue

I have only good things to say about Naperville Acupuncture Center. I have received many treatments there over the last 5 years. Most recently, I had seen an orthopedic surgeon due to knee pain and weakness. I hadn't been able to run or exercise due to the swelling, pain and weakness. The surgeon told me there was nothing they could do.
Dr. Grill looked at my entire leg, not just my knee. Explained what he believed the problem was and how we would work on it. I was able to run the next day. I am going in regularly for treatments and the distance I am able to run is increasing each week

I never knew how much relief I could actually realize with my neck and shoulder pain. It was chronic and I had it for a very long time. After just a few sessions I was feeling good as new. I highly recommend Dr. Grill because of the amazing work he did for me. I also found it to be relatively affordable. Worth every penny. Surely beats waking up in pain every day!

My initial appointment went very well. Staff is very nice and Takes the time to explain what will be happening. Frank who is the acupuncturist is very knowledgeable and really knows what he is doing. He did a thorough assessment and after the assessment he sat with me and gave me the plan that he thinks will work best. He explained what he would be doing. He explained how it worked. He answered any questions I had. Very comfortable rooms and very relaxing. I would highly recommend them.

To say I was skeptical about acupuncture is an understatement. However, I had been hearing about Dr Grill for weeks with regard to a rotator cuff issue I had for months. My options were getting slim and to the point of a cortisone shot being on the horizon, which I knew was just not for me. However I am in the fitness field and needed to do something, so I took advice of fellow friends and went.
He is amazing, months of waking up at night in pain gone just after 1 treatment. He knew what he was doing, tested muscle strength, exactly like they do in Physical Therapy, I was amazed at how I felt

I pulled a couple of muscles in my neck, and chiropractic care wasn't helping. With just one visit to the Naperville Acupuncture Center, my range of motion in my neck improved -- and by three visits, I was completely back to normal. Everyone was wonderful, caring, and friendly. I was highly skeptical of acupuncture and more importantly terrified to poke needles in my body till I came to this Acupuncture Center. I had been through several years (about 8) of knee pain and tried several treatments - till my Doctor recommended Frank Grill for acupuncture treatment. After about 1-2 years of regularly irregular treatments (I am a bad patient!)
I am now able to run, skip and JUMP. Can't thank Frank and Angela enough for their patience dedication and persistence. I also want to thank them for keeping the costs of treatment reasonable enough so it did not cost me an arm

It's a miracle! I was dealing with major sciatic nerve pain radiating down my left leg for several months. I tried physical therapy for 8 weeks, and saw an orthopedic M.D., but nothing seemed to help. It was interfering with both work and my social life, and a friend recommended that I try acupuncture (and I was admittedly a bit skeptical)...

Dr Grill is amazing. Ive had cortisone shots, nerves burned off, surgery, physical therapy, pain meds that didn't work. As a last resort I went to Dr F and I felt relief after the second visit.

My experience in the past was that acupuncture worked but was too expensive and they doled out help in little cookie crumb amounts of work at a time and would only work on one issue at a time. I went to the Naperville Acupuncture Center because I was in severe back pain. Prescription pain killers did not help at all, I could not walk without a walker and had gone over a week without being able to sleep for more than a few minutes at a time.

I recommend anyone that is in pain to go see Frank. He is an expert in helping people with all kinds of health issues. You go here & come out feeling so relaxed!!! I have ten steel screws and a steel plate in my ankle from a severe break 6 years ago, and have had ongoing problems with severe arthritis. Because I can't get the metal removed, I was skeptical as to whether or not anything other than hardcore medications (and the associated side-effects) would work to help with the pain, swelling, and discomfort I was feeling daily.
