In 1947, Nor-Lake was founded in the garage of a creamery in Hudson, Wisconsin (located just east of St. Paul and Minneapolis). In the beginning, Nor-Lake designed refrigeration products for bar and restaurant operations and some of its first products are still being used today. Nor-Lake originally manufactured ice cube makers.
Over time, Nor-Lake expanded its operation to include a large variety of foodservice refrigeration products. In 1982, Nor-Lake created a separate Scientific Division. Through the years, Nor-Lake remained a family-owned business until 2003, when it became part of the Standex Foodservice Group. Nor-Lake, Incorporated has grown to be a leader in the designing and manufacturing of quality refrigeration products.

Absolute worst walk in box company to deal with. Tom Gallagher is a real piece of trash. He told me he’s just the messenger, but couldn’t give me a straight answer for not giving me a quote. I had to call sales to get my response. Their boxes aren’t great either. Go with Kolpak, Harford, Mr. Winter, Amerikooler, USA Cooler, Bally, etc. All much better boxes and the best customer service.

Absolutely garbage! After waiting on hold for over an hour, we were told that our just-out-of-the-box unit can't be serviced for over two weeks! Trash customer service and sub-par products. Unbelievable that when they have a list of authorized servicers and every single one of them is booked out two weeks, Norlake is unable to provide an alternative. Maybe I will send Norlake the bill for the $30,000 in product we have lost because of their equipment failure. This isn't an old unit - This is a work defect in a brand new piece of equipment!
