The short and simple answer is that we bring dreams to fruition in a professional, inspirational, and truly fun environment. Our highly qualified instructors are all passionate, entertaining, positive, uplifting, and able to motivate. Many students come to us to of course to gain or increase their technical proficiencies with the intention of one day becoming a music or dance performer, educator, or related professional.

Many others come to us - yes, to learn of course, but also to develop an increased confidence in themselves, to rejuvenate and stimulate the creative side of the mind, to relieve the stressors of everday life, to have fun jamming on favorite all time hits, to pursue a new interest/hobby, to get in shape, and/or to meet other like minded individuals within a unique and thriving artistic community.

Brand New to Music Lessons? Wherever you choose to enroll, ask questions to ensure that the music instructor will meet your needs. Our beginners guide below will serve as an excellent point of reference. If you've been researching how to get started in music lessons for yourself or a child, what is needed, what to expect, then you're in the right place!
A wise pianist once said, "I realized a long time ago that my chords don't work without a good bass player!" In practice, the bass serves as a musical pillar that supports every other instrument. Bass instruction begins at age 8 at LAAPA due to the general size of the instruments. Weekly lessons are offered in either 30, 45, or 60 minutes private sessions.
The most versatile of the string family, learning the cello will afford you freedom of expression from lyrical tenor melodies to percussive bass lines. From hauntingly beautiful melodies to vigorous bass ostinatos, the cello can do it all and is perhaps the most versatile instrument in the string family due to its range.

My 2 year old loves movement, so I was looking for a dance program that catered to toddlers. I found LAAPA, and after doing some online research, I called. A young lady answered ALL of my questions. Believe me, I had lots of questions.
Hubby and I decided to put the little one in Parent and Me Ballet. Although it says Parent and Me, it is geared to help the tots learn the foundation of ballet. Miss Mollie, her dance instructor, is a sweetheart! There are anywhere from 3-5 girls, and she is keeps them moving. She has so much patience, and her energy and smile makes any little one comfortable. My

Gianna is 3.5 she is in the Mommy and me class. Her teacher is Miss Savanah. I love this class because it welcomes grandmothers too! Miss Savanah is a good instructor because she gives these little ones enough freedom to be themselves while getting them to learn. We love it!!

Jaycee has been taking voice lessons with Mrs. Katarina for about four months. She was a little shy at first but she is improving with every lesson. Mrs. Katarina makes it fun for Jaycee but also teaches her theory as well.

My daughter has been taking lessons for the last six months and the screechy singing from the back seat has turned into beautiful music.
