Old Hill Partners Inc. is an SEC-registered investment advisor with significant experience in asset-based lending and alternative asset management. Old Hill advises private credit funds and managed accounts serving private wealth, family offices, and institutional investors with focus on income generation.

Old Hill's senior portfolio management team has significant experience in asset-based lending in excess of 20 years through multiple credit cycles. Our expertise is in the creation of customized, structured transactions tailored to meet the needs of each of our borrowers seeking capital for expansion, acquisition or growth.
Services
We provide asset-based lending solutions to borrowers seeking $15-50 million in financing, a segment of the lending market avoided by large traditional banks due to regulatory constraints and unattractive economics. Our expertise in the asset-based lending sector means we can execute highly customizable transactions secured by both common and esoteric asset types.
John Howe founded Old Hill in 1996 and has over 25 years of experience investing and managing credit and asset based lending transactions. John is Old Hill's Chief Executive Officer and responsible for overall portfolio construction. John is the chairman of the Investment Committee.

Prior to Old Hill, John was a Managing Director at Nomura Securities in New York from 1990 to 1995, where he oversaw the $40 billion Government Securities Business Unit. Before joining Nomura, John was a Senior Vice President at Kidder Peabody, where he managed and traded fixed-income securities for seven years.
Structured properly, private debt can provide a much greater safe haven than is typically understood. For instance, Old Hill's transactions typically carry floating coupon rates and floors to protect against rising interest rates, while strong collateral coverage and proper deal structure address a wide variety of other transaction-specific risks.
