We are located on the second floor.
Services
Our experienced and compassionate therapists are dedicated to serving a diverse clientele. We aim to create a welcoming space that feels safe for all. As a team of white, cisgender individuals, this includes being mindful of our privilege, our biases, and how our clients might perceive us. Originally from Illinois, I moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend The Ohio State university, where I completed my M.A. and Ph.
City Counseling: A Home for Growth is a multidisciplinary practice focused on creating a space that feels welcoming and safe for diverse clientele. Areas of focus include (but are not limited to) LGB and trans folks, survivors of trauma, HIV/AIDS, seniors, addiction issues, and couples.

Our clinicians come from different backgrounds and have varied areas of focus, but we all share the goal of delivering quality, compassionate care to diverse and marginalized populations.
Our therapists are trained in multiple modalities of individual therapy, including interpersonal process, humanistic-existential, and family-systems therapies grounded in a person/client-centered philosophy. We have three therapists - Chad Corbley, Abbe Straw, and Brian Ward - who work with couples of all kinds.
Please include your name, preferred method of contact, clinician preference (if applicable), and type of insurance. Our office manager or one of our clinicians will get back to you within 24 hours during the week and within 48 hours if it's a weekend. Please note: If you are in immediate need of help, call 911 or call Netcare Access at (614) 276-2273.
City Counseling is always on the lookout for clinicians who would be a good fit for our population. Generally speaking, we're only able to hire folx who are licensed as most insurances only reimburse licensed clinicians. Those currently working towards licensure are still encouraged to reach out to discuss current and future opportunities.
