At SouthPaw Animal Clinic, we strive to provide gentle and relaxed veterinary care to your furry family members. We feel that your pets are like our family and we want you all to feel comfortable in our care. Our focus on "Fear Free" visits has helped many pets learn to be comfortable at the Veterinary office.
SouthPaw Animal Clinic is a full-service veterinary clinic for dogs and cats located in Overland Park, Kansas. We pride ourselves on giving you all of the available options for treatment and taking the time to discuss them with you so that we can work together, as advocates for your pets. We will take the time to answer all of your questions and will work with you to provide a care plan that best suits you and your pet family members.
Dr. C has worked professionally with animals since 1995 when she started her first job working in an animal clinic. She worked in nearly every function in that veterinary clinic - a kennel attendant, groomer, veterinary receptionist and veterinary assistant - before she obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri ~ College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.
Our team works with each pet to help them feel as calm and supported as possible during their visit. Our team's love for animals extends into their home life, where our team members share their homes with their own fur-babies. We not only love our pets - we love YOUR pets too! When advising you on the care of your pet, our team is not just advising for a patient, we are advising for a member of the SouthPaw family.

Had a cat bit by a raccoon. They scheduled an emergency visit same day, then let me come back every morning for over a week for follow up care.
Also, I adopted a rescue dog who had heartworms. He was treated at the shelter, but then Southpaw took care of us through the months of testing and care that follow heartworm treatment.
Southpaw has been with us through every stage of life with our pets. They are knowledgeable, accessible, and ethical in a way that I have not experienced with other vets. The care we have gotten here has always been focused on what is in the best interest of the animal

What an amazing place! We walked in to a clean place that smelled good, we were immediately greeted and then taken back to the exam room. My dog was hyper but the doctor and her nurse didn't have any problem with him. They even played with him, which made me feel better about his crazy behavior. They explained what was going on with my dog and answered all of my questions. We will definitely be coming back to this clinic for all of our future care!
